What I want to know is how are the players with low-sec ratings going to get to the event system if it's in Empire space? Wouldn't the sentry guns simply target them and kill them when they warp in?

Still, it'd be realistic I suppose if CONCORD showed up and podded the criminals who've been allowed to enter this auspicious event.

Well at least it evens things out for Sarum.

Can we have a verdict on human shields (players ejecting and deliberately getting in the way of missiles)? This is the last of the questions that remains unanswered. After all if the winner is truly guided by the hand of god the missiles would miss in any caseTwisted Evil

Targeting, shooting and destruction of an opposing team member’s escape pod will result in the immediate disqualification of the offending team.

Escape pods damaged by "splash damage" are exemt for this rule.

As it can easily be proved that they weren't targeted .. Wink

If the Amarr god is a benevolent god then he shall choose Davit. If the Amarr fundamentalists can't even agree that Udorians are equals, how can I (a Caldari) expect them to accept me. So I salute house Tash-Murkon and hope your god leads your champion to victory.

It was a nice championship, good and clean fights, no crashes, barely any lag.

Very good coordination from the GM's and Referees, very good job everyone. I want to stress this: GM'S HAVE MADE A GREAT JOB!

We made it to the final but the Ecliptical team hit us hard and we could only destroy 2 of their ships.

It was a very good fight and I am proud to see the Kor-Azor banner is held up high by such capable warriors.

Congratulations go to Ecliptical, BlackViper, Grikl and Kileak who now can count on all my support for the following rounds of the championship.

And my sincere thanks to Dendron, Perforator and St0rmbringer (strict alphabetical order) who as my wingmen carried me through the 3 previous fights and showed their courage and prowess.

I would Like to Thank Piccillo's Team and Kronarty's team.

It was a great battle from Both Teams. My Upmost respect goes out to both Teams and to all the warriors , whether won or lost, For sacrifising themselves to Bring Dorian Kor-Azor to his rightful place as Emperor.

To the Warriors and champions fighting for the other 3 Houses Good luck and Have Fun.
To Sarum Warriors and Shrike and his Squad of Assasins.. Great Job.

Thanks Go Out to all the GM's and Polaris for a great event and also to Eve Radio for great Coverage of the Sarum Fights.

GOOD JOB, Eclip, Kil, BV and Grikl!

I was ****ed when I had to withdraw from the team for RL. Now I'm completly mad about missing it. But also overjoyed to see you in the finals.Very Happy

Interesting... The 2 champions that's already in the finals are Ecliptical and the Shrike. Both of them were voted as #1 in their house. So also congratulations to Shrike and the Evol team.
Also, those players are usually only seen in battleships. I guess the best fighters can adept to any ship and situationRazz
I also hope that everyone participating had a really good time, even if you were sent out in the first round.

Weekly frig fight :)

this is giving me ideas...

Why is there not the possibility of regular arena championships...

The Championship Arena stages fights are very cool - yes, its formalised and not quite like "real" PvP combat, but it is, in essense, a very "fair" fight.

having more of these would be a great idea. maybe even bigger ones? 8v8 - or certain goals in mind?

I'm thinking something like Ender's Game - have a goal at each end of the arena, and have to drive a ship through the hoop to win :)

but if had bigger teams - 8, 10 a side etc, and 1 match a day, and a tournament with points etc. that would be so excellent :)

Congrats also to Detaitiv.
And of course to my SA friends in Con'Mal's EV team.

First 4 champions are:
Eliptical - MASS
Detaitiv - BIG
Shrike - Evolution
Con'Mal - Everlasting Vendetta

Intersting. 3 out of 4 were voted as #1 in their house. All representing big and well known corps.

I'll bet on Leshiy - RUS, winning the last house.Smile

"Intersting. 3 out of 4 were voted as #1 in their house. All representing big and well known corps."

... Oh come on, now.... 'Tis hardly surprising big corporations are able to both select good teams out of their ranks, and give their representatives the most positive ratings, non? ;s
