I ordered ten 100 day time cards from the online store, with a value of $500. My order reference, should anyone at CCP care, is 2008996

When the shipment arrived, I found ten 50 day cards instead.

I emailed the store about this, and they responded telling me to post the cards back to them. However, they did not provide a return address to do so. Additionally, they did not say if they would cover the DHL shipping costs of approx $20 - after all it was their mistake.

I have since emailed the online store 7 times, asking for a return address, confirmation they will pay shipping, or a half refund so I can keep the ten 50 day cards (seems reasonable).

And... NOTHING. No reply, no address, no confirmation they will pay shipping, no half-refund... nothing.

WHAT DO I HAVE TO DO TO SORT THIS OUT CCP? I have emailed the store every day and nothing is happening.

So this is a warning to other people considering using the online store - do not expect a perfect service.

As it stands: CCP, you owe me $250.

That sucks mate, I'm sure they'll sort it out eventually.

Personally I've used Eve store on 5-6 seperate occaisions with perfect service every time. Never such a high value order though.

Buy much ISK?

You might have approached it better by simply asking for 10 more 50 day cards instead of sending back the 50s and getting 100s. That would probably be much less effort on both your part and CCP (no $20 DHL shipment for 10 pieces of plastic??). And you'd still get the same about of game time for your 10 accounts.

I bought the eve jacket, when it was still available. They sent me the women's M version which isnt mt thing (being a 6 foot male). I emailed them, they gave it me back (ok i had to pay for postage back to them) but they sent me a male L version within days. Good service for a simple mistake

I've used the store several times, though never for such large-value orders. Once I received an EVE mug in the post instead of the baseball cap I'd ordered. I sent the mug back to Iceland, which cost me about 5, but in return I got a free T-shirt.

I've gotten top-notch service every time.

ive made very good experience with the ccp online store. the stupid post man wasnt able to find my adress so the package was returned to iceland. they sended it again without extra cost. btw, the t-shirts are of very high quality but if you want to order the "concord" t-shirt, be sure to get it in a bigger size you usually wear. ive orderd 2 XL shirts, the "Quafe" shirt fits perfect but if im wearing the "Concord" shirt im showing my belly button :).

I also had some bad experience with eve-store sadly.
Me and some friends ordered some clothing and various attempts at contacting an eve-store representative was futile. In other words you can forget about any sort of contact between the time order is made and paid for and the time it is delivered.

Also as a side note I got a customs fee plus a tax fee for about $150 to pay to the Swedish government which I was totally unaware of when the DHL representative came to deliver the goods. A mention of that this can happen depending what country you live in would be HIGHLY recommended before you pay for your goods and the shipping fees.

CCP online store is bad and good to some :P

i can not say who or when .. but some friends here in Greece were lucky

one order a coffe cup and got 2 but payed one...

the other order a 20 x 30 poster and they send him a 50 x 40 at the same price lol

so eve store rule to some :P

Hahahaha I just took a final exam on UCC Article 2 Sales of Goods / CISG Sales of Goods between Foreign States.

Free law advice (not a lawyer yet, relying on this advice is probably a bad idea but HEY FREE EXAM REVIEW WOOO).

CISG: Iceland and the United States are signatories.

Article 35 of the CISG: Obligations of Seller (unmet here)

(1) The seller must deliver goods which are of the quantity, quality and description required by the contract and which are contained or packaged in the manner required by the contract.

(2) Except where the parties have agreed otherwise, the goods do not conform with the contract unless they:

(c) possess the qualities of goods which the seller has held out to the buyer as a sample or model;


Article 39 Notice by Buyer (met here)

(1) The buyer loses the right to rely on a lack of conformity of the goods if he does not give notice to the seller specifying the nature of the lack of conformity within a reasonable time after he has discovered it or ought to have discovered it.


Article 45 (buyer's options here)

I recommend that you exercise:

Article 46

In conjunction with:

And if they give you a hard time about shipping, remind them of:

Article 74

Such damages may not exceed the loss which the party in breach foresaw or ought to have foreseen at the time of the conclusion of the contract, in the light of the facts and matters of which he then knew or ought to have known, as a possible consequence of the breach of contract.


And of course:

Article 84

My brother bought me a mug for one of my Birthdays, but when it arrived it was chipped quite badly. He send them an email, and they sent out a replacement. We even got to keep the chipped one (Which is understandable given how it is basically ruined Crying or Very sad). Great customer service! I'd definately buy from them, if I actually had any money to do so (I want one of those tastey looking ship posters - nice and big to stick on my wall)
