According to the items database, the biology skill gives a "20% Bonus to attribute booster duration per skill level."

Firstly, by attribute booster, does it mean cyberware? If not what DOES it mean?

Secondly, if it's cyberware, is this SERIOUSLY a way of coaxing another attrib point out of cyberware?!

If I remember correctly, attribute boosters are supposed to be a form of drugs. Not in game yet and who knows when CCP will actually implement it.

That skill goes together with someothers like the Starbase Tactical Officer and structures like the moon harvesting array II & III and so on....

The skill indeed exists. I know of char who was able to choose this skill during char creation. But that's years ago and the skill is simply doing nothing.

Yeah not too long ago, I was messing around with the cahracter creation sskill tree. I was able to make a character start off with this skill at level 2 I think... Another skill like this would be the smuggling skil black market conecctions or somthing like that... Only availible upon player creation and don't appear to do anything at all right now.

Why do I have this sneaking suspicion that skills are coming out to keep US, the players, busy, while no true effort will ever be made to implement them all?

I have a bad feeling eve, as a game, will close down before we see so many of these 'skills' implemented on a level they could be, and would be in any other game that focused on them.

This many years into it, and we're still all flying around space, with no hopes of planetary interaction, no hope of meeting the Jove, and skills that lay dormant.

In reality, the game really is very limited compared to the avenues it could take, and other games have taken. I forsee another company offering the in-space mechanics of Eve (which, really, aren't that impressive anymore) with the added areas and levels of play Eve could consist of.

The download would be huge to do so - maybe 10 gigs, but it's about time someone else enters and offers something. CCP seem to be at their wits' end, only able to offer busy-work, when the game needs an entire rewrite.

Biology skill exists. My alt, Violet Amiria (Caldari Achura) has it. Boosters will be the equivalient to temporary implants that come with potential side effects. There is a dev blog about the upcoming kali releases that mentions this in greater detail.

in case you didnt know, CCP is making millions of this game, they just opened EVE china, and about half a million subscribers came on. lets say that they have a total of half a million subscribers, then every year, if everyone had a 1 month subscription rate, they are making about 90 mil in US dollars not changing currency for EU subscribers, since there are those who dont play monthly, they probably make 70mil , then you have to pay for bandwith and employees, so maybe 50 mil is what they are left with yearly, if you think they are going to close EVE down, then they would have to be the stupidest businessmen ever, and it would be amazing that they made it this far in life if they do something that stupid now, so EVE probably has many healthy years left. The following character creation(s) will give you the Biology skill in each race:

Caldari -> Science & Trade Institute -> Science -> Biology -> Genetics
Amarr -> Hedion University -> Science -> Biology -> Genetics
Gallente -> University of Caille -> Science -> Biology -> Genetics
Minmatar -> Republic University -> Science -> Biology -> Genetics

Though I don't know why you want too :)

God, I hope not - it's painfully dead-ended.

I don't care that CCP is making money, what's apparent to me is that the time is ripe for competition for a number of reasons.

Anyone else getting the 'sorry, we're too busy to answer petitions' e-mail? That, alone, doesn't bother me. It does tell me, however, that Eve still has many problems that could have, and should have, been fixed. It tells me that for 50-million dollars profit, or whatever it is, they can't hire a few more techs to handle the incoming customer complaints?
It tells me CCP is resting on their laurels, and the game, as a whole, isn't going to get better. Sure, it could change and require those who have been playing longer to train more skills to be able to do what they used to be able to do without said skills - but that isn't content; it's the way CCP does business.

You may be a fanboy of them, but I'm willing to bet that many, in time, are going to grow tired of waiting for the small parts CCP occasionally adds to the game.
