With Kali visible at the horizon. I thought it might be intresting to what is on the citisence wish list for the future.

For myself...

Reverse Engenering.
When I first heard about this possibility beeing contemplated I had just bought my first Navitas. Proud as I was of flying this mighty vessel I looked at the ships descrition as to how I would revese engeneer it. Great visions of the ultimate scoutship came to me. Ofc the game has come far since my beta dreams and my choices would be different now. Still the Reverse Engenering never left my mind.

Make it a hard proces, maybe start with an attempt to create a proto type of the desired ship/mod. Once succesfull a print of this item may be attempted.
If succesfully producing a print the creator should get the option to copyright it. This to give the game a chance to keep track of otherwise multitudes of unique prints appearing. The copyright should allow the owner to create a fixed number of bpo's, maybe similar to the t2 numbers used now.
The creator should be able to name the print so as to get the credits for a new item added.

The ability to take your research elsewhere with taking the aquired rp's from to old to the new agent.
A data pad of some kind, basicaly a notebook uploaded with the research results. Some loss could occur as the agent might not be willing to part with all his secrets.
Point loss could be dependant of what new research will be preformed. Low loss with a same project at a higher or similar level agent, medium loss with moving to an other field. This otherfield should be in some way related, reality wise. Rp's of Starship engenering not beeing usefull in nanite engenering kind of thing.

More 'in space' intel on factories/labs beeing used.
This is a small one, but would be great to get more insight through the 'job' interface on the status of projects one is running. Basicaly getting the progress station intel available when not in said station.


I recon there be more wishes amongst the populus of Tranquility. Post some and try to get your ideas on the DEV's to-do list.

It's been said a thousand times before, but...

I'd personally like to see a more vibrant NPC presence. There is already a great deal of depth to the backstory and current events (not to mention speculation), but with more NPC presence this would be reinforced. I donít think empire space should get all the loving, either. Expeditions, actual convoys, military exercises, yachts, construction craft etc etcÖ Eve is fairly dynamic as it is, but a few more NPCs wouldnít hurt.

Although, I don't think it will be too long before this topic is moved

Booosters, Pirate Faction RnD agents, Pirate Stations locking people with poor standings out and ganking them with sentries.

Carries and some drone fixes would be cool too.

Ship models and textures fixed/improved (Apocalypse on the top, Thorax somewhere in the middle, Punisher on the bottom, etc). Thats all i want from Kali Crying or Very sad. We're in 2006 soon, eve graphics suck by todays standards, and dont tell me that stuff laggs, because i can give you proof that Better Apocalypse textures would actually use less memory than they currently do...

Double the earning capacity to 0.0 for npcs/ore

make 1/10-5/10 complexes in 0.0

Change all 0.0 border systems to low sec (e.g. torrinos/orvolle)

Make more low sec entry points to 0.0

Id also like to see reverse engineering...thats what i thought prototype rails were forEmbarassed

Give people the option to surrender and attackers the option to see it or ignore it.

Give noobs a chance by not sending them to 0.4s on missions

With above make it so that pend insurance wont allow a player into low sec empire till he has 700k sp and 1mil sp for 0.0

Id like to see skills for remote use of factories/labs -should be very limited

To get ss hits for killing some1 anywhere including 0.0(but not the space you claim, but for low security status to mean nothing for police. Instead when killing in empire you get a faction standing to that empire and when its low they wont let you into high sec without pwning you. make ss as a player guide.

Make warp bubbles anchorable in empire 0.3 and below like pos and dreads are allowed there, so why not bubbles.

Career skills, bounty hunter skills, pirate skills, alliance navy skills, npc hunter skills and so on - but only one set of skills per char. I dunno what the skills should do, but make em funkeh!!

Blow up players ships in 0.0 and a wreck is left behind, which is toable and able to be refined for minerals. The empires remove all wrecks in their sectors.

More advanced corp features. It would have to be a huge overhaul.

I'm thinking about creating a powerful contracts system. For example, a mining corp that decides your share of profit based on your much you mine; a pirate corp that decides your share of profit based of what ships you have destroyed.

A better structuring system. Larger corps could be able to have different sections with different contractual agreements. For example, a mining division, a protection divvision and a hauling division. Or a pirate division and a logistics division. The potential is huge.

The ability to outsource different tasks to other corps. This would make mercing easier and also ice mining, since these are the most common agreements corps have.

Also more complex corp taxes to go with these features.

There is one large problem I can foresee with these suggestions. They could make EVE feel more and more like a job, instead of relaxation or fun. However, they could also make the learning curve steeper for new players.

But these improvements would enable players to run corps more efficiently and with less effort. These improvements could attract more co-operation between players, which is what MMOs are all about.

If these improvements were made I would actually seriously consider joining the PvP division of a carebear corp.

As it stands, EVE is a great game. I'm happy with it the way it is so any added features are always a bonus. The CCP folks are smarter than me and have probably already thought of this stuff and better and I have a lot of faith in them. I look forward to Kali.

Apologies if I have regurgitated past ideas in other threads or repeated some stuff. This is just my personal opinion.

problem with letting people name their own items on the market is you would have idiots naming them stupid names like teh ub3r frig or trying to get around the censoring

good ideas with reverse engineering tho

To be able to set embargo's against players/corps you set to low standings. what is ment is to be able to block market order you or your corp sets up to players/corps with bad standings to you.

Put a end to gate campers in .1 and up systems
Increase damage to gate/station turrets so they will one shot any ship(This would fix gate campers).

Make Sec Status something that you earn through good behaviour, not through killing countless NPCs... I mean really, what does killing an NPC have to do with the PVP stuff.

More Small ships T1 and T2

A use for the logistic ships like allowing them the ability to use large repairers/boosters.

No agents in 1.0/.9 sectors and a Gun check at the gates that turns all high slots off to prevent suicide kessies/ruptures/punishers.

A better Research system.

Better pay for going to 0.0.

A way to move 40 jumps faster than my trip to the mall.

More uses for drones (ie webbers/scramblers/warp disruptors/range variants.)

A BattleCruiser that's combat heavy and not command oriented... or a new ship class that's similar.
*Side note is for that ship to not have a tanking bonus but normal bonuses.

Station defenses against Dreads... not so much offensively as defensively(at much higher fuel cost)

A Cruiser class launcher that is on par with the rocket launcher and torp launcher for dmg rather than the assaults. Or, a lower rate of fire on the Assaults.

A 3rd/teir 3 Battleship for each class...

Something for gate campers to do for hours on end to make traveling 40 jumps afk possible through .1-.4s

Heavy assault battleships with the understanding that dreads and Carrier prices/build requirements drop.

No more 35 drones for the Galante Dread. Sexy idea, but kinda makes it a Carrier of a different breed.

Less missles/more turrets on Mimitar ships.

Less turrets/more missles on Caldari ships.

More 0.0 space

A type of station like an outpost but with much less defense that acts as a personal home in 0.0 for small groups/solo players who want just a system that's rarely visited to get lost in.

id also like

more top lvl agents in all npc corps to help split people up in eve and for agents to be in different systems.

its too late for t2, but with t3 it would be good if certain items could only be manufactured in certain factories and that factories have a power output and certain ammount of space. so for making co proIII you would need a antistatic workshop or for ships you would need a large factory with a spray booth.

trade related guilds, but ran by players and the leaders of these guilds to be picked by ccp

on another thread some1 wanted naval patroles in low sec, i think player patrols id be better.

to remove criminal flagging where sentrys are concerned, if you shoot some1 in a belt, the sentrys dont know or care, shoot infront of one sentry gun and all sentrys should hate you for 15mins

Make criminals flagged to other players for 4hrs, add another tab to journal where you can request an update on a pirates whereabouts for the 4hrs, also an invite to a temporary channel where all other people who have been killed by the same person in the last week also have an invite, all that for empire space only.

atleast 6 npc stations in every region of 0.0 even if they only have repair/fitting/market/escrow

A contract system for anything

like kill x person in a megathron before a certain date and you will be paid 50mil

or deliver x ammount of minerals so many times per week for x price if you fail to meet a deadline you must pay me x ammount of isk.

More ingame sounds. I had the new orleans police channel on the background and the chatter really fits with the game. (Condord and rats)

The chatter now seems to somehow be more like static on my headset (suddenly , very loud and only 0.1 milisecond long)

Yes it would. Just because people have wars doesn't mean it's gonna be allowed everywhere. I mean, the US isn't going to allow India/Pakistan to fight on our soil.

Hay thatís cool, but donít worry.

Donít you think the graphic designers for the game would love and will update the graphics ASAP?

Reverse Engineering - Just be able to reverse engineer existing named items by getting a BPC with a few runs (skill dependend) for one item dismantled (no tech 2 items)

Moving RPs from one R&D agent to another, same field, no carry-over to another field (doesn't make sense imho)

Faction Police instead of Concord police (maybe concord only in the 2 highest secratings in combination with faction police)

Remove Low-Sec make it part high-sec and part 0.0 but owned by a faction
1.0-0.6 should be 0.5 - 0.1 with the same attributes as now and the rest is 0.0
0.1 should be allowed to have player rats without immediate ganking through police but with faction police showing up and trying to kill the rat (cruisers and frigs maybe) - wouldn't change much for the pirates but as an empire carebear I would know what to expect
0.5 means instagank and 0.4 means only tankable sentrys guns, where is the middleground? - obve idea would create it and make it more real

More NPCs in space, interaction between factions included. I want to see space battles between Pirates and Empire factions

Station access depending on faction standing. If my gallente standing is below -5.0 no gallente station should allow me to dock. Maybe restricted station facilities access if i'm below 0.0 but above -5.0
High faction standing should give me additional acces, maybe labs/factories only for players with high standing or better reprocessing facilities for high standing.

Oh, and as a plea, don't make it easily scammable. If scamming is permitted in the new contracts system, for gods sake the scammers should have to work at it or be creative.

What I really would like to have is some other thing than continoous preparation as a purpose in Eve.

Let me explain.

When you start out you have very little ISK, but you want to fly a nice ship.
So - as preparation for this - you go out and mine, but its not getting you enough.

So you train up mining skill and maybe frigate skill to and prepare yourself to get a bigger better mining vessel.

Now you got the vessel and mine away in preparation for that nice ship, so you prepare the skills necessary and train them while you do that mining.

Then you finally have enough cash, but you cant afford the modules needed to fly this nice ship - say a BS - so you mine some more.

Also you realize you need to learn some more skills to effectively use that BS, so you mine more to buy skill books and train up.

Training takes time, so during that preparation - you mine again, or maybe you NPC in preparation for that BS.

Finally you fly that thing, but you cannot afford the insurance so before you dip your foot into low sec waters you do what ?

You prepare yourself by mining some more - or if you are brave - by agenting.

Finally you got enough cash for insurance and you have your BS, but do you actually go out to low sec to enjoy your ship ?

Maybe - but then again you hear a lot of those ebil pi-rats that may kill your ships, so you mine some more to have a spare ship.

Eventually, you have prepared yourself for looooooooooooooong time and not done actually what you wanted to do.

Ok, now lets say you re done with it and finally go out to use your shiny new ship and you manage to kill a lot of rats and make some ISK.

The question remains - for what ?
I'll tell you:

To be prepared and have enough ISK for that new ship-.---and so on.

There is no real purpose other than prepare for the preparation.

Substitute Ship by POS, Outpost or whatever - it remains the same.



You are in fact so used to preparation that you may keep on working on getting spares for a thing you actually never use - That is the thing that needs to be changed.

Just my thoughts on the need to find another purpose to be in Eve.
