Really dumb noob question I apologize in advance.

But what piece of equiptment is considered an active hardiner versus passive?

Are Aromor Hardeners I active..or is it the Energized plates that are active?

I assume that basic armor plates i.e. 1600MM is passive?

Thanks for the help.

hardners are active nergised plates are passive.

An "active modual" is any that you have to activate to make work

A "passive" modual is any that works automaticlay once fitted

A hardener improves your resistance to a certain type of damage. Some also boost all your resistances, although by a lesser margin than a specialized hardener.

A 1600mm plate is not a hardener.

Active hardeners use cap (in negligible amounts if you're in anything cruiser-sized or bigger) and need to be activated manually. They're more powerful than their passive counterparts.

Passive hardeners come in two flavors: energized and non-energized. Energized is better, obviously, as it gives better resistances but its fitting requirements are higher.

Active armor hardeners arn't nearly as common as active shield hardeners, in my experience. Energized Membranes are just the better level of passives hardeners. 1600mm are technically extenders and not hardeners. You can view active armor hardeners in the market or on the website.
