Heheh. Faith in CCP is something I have been rapidly losing.

This game is rapidly getting very boring.

Mining? Was at least "not unpleasant" before. Not too exciting, but not horrendously annoying either. Now mining sucks.

Killing pirates? No thank you, considering that they overnerfed the loot tables and 50k pirates drop the same crap that 1k pirates do.

Research? Since production time research is broken, mineral research beyond 5-6 levels is pointless, and there is no tech improvement research, R&D characters have nothing to do except copy copy copy.

Production? See above... The production economy is crap thanks to lack of tech improvement research, which means no product differentiation and a flood of supply from aforementioned bored researchers who have nothing to do but copy copy copy.

All that's left is trade, and while profitable, it gets boring making the same 8-jump trip over and over and over again.

We need official word on this CCP. Why don't you communicate more with your player base btw? You guys are always so silent, and it only helps to frustrate people. Making at least one post a day (ooc) would be a good start.

As for this change - well I *have* found some roids that are not affected, but these appear to be ones that other people have not found. It looks more like a limit on amount of bistot in a crude attempt to variously chocke and stimulate the economy. A better, and more common-sense way of doing this would be to make combat more atractive and give people more to do than stack asteroids. Look at the fundementals of how the economy is working rather than lifting the bluntest instrument you can find and pounding it until something changes.

The Pirate do their part for the Economy, Now it's time for Establish corp to do there part. I ran into a corp and was told they the most Powerful corp in EVE. Why haven't they tackle MOO. That will help free up some mega I am sure.

I do understand where everyone is coming from, and there are other ways, But we cry about that too.

So If we not going to go out and fight, then make suggestions not threats about quiting

the small roids are possibly caused by mega-corps hoarding all their meg/zyd, and ships *not* being destroyed.

If the wussies hadn't had the pirates forced out of empire space, more cruisers would be destroyed (pirate and non-pirate alike (with some pirate bias)), meaning more ore will be respawned.

As it is now, we have just run out. Prepare for a mineral price rise/war.

TTI didn't tackle m0o because it wasn't profitable, and TTI is all about profit.

TTI would have been severely damaged in an encounter with m0o - What TTI had in numbers and economic power, they lacked in PvP experience. People flame them for taking on M3G4 and not taking on m0o - I have one word for those people: Practice. TTI's war against M3G4 is almost surely a practice exercise, designed to give TTI's members and executive some combat experience so that they'll have *proven* ideas on how to fight effectively when it really matters, rather than untested theories.

m0o is dying anyway, they're nothing without their exploits. Sadly, some of the true pirate corps (as opposed to podkilling exploiting griefers like m0o) have suffered for m0o's abuses of the system.

The game needs pirates in empire space to "spice things up". It should be possible, albeit extremely dangerous and difficult. As it is now, anything higher than .5 might as well be 1.0.

As for the big corps, like TTI (obvious example, I know) I cannot consider them (all of them) megacorps. A megacorp should show no fear. A Megacorp can and will crush lesser corps.

But for some people, sadly, getting ISK is the be-all and end-all of MMORPGs. Thus, all the megacorps are just weenies who got the game early.

Get someone with balls running your big corps, and make a name for yourself.

RUS did it. Who's next?

Fun > ISK

Sorry about swaying slightly off-topic, but it was still relevant. There is *X* amount of megacyte in the universe. Due to people a) not losing ships, and b) hoarding it for profit, there is none 'spare'.

It would be a similar situation if I bought all the paper currency in my country (not that I ever could). The government can't just 'make more notes' this would cause major economic imbalances. There is a set amount of paper currency available, and they have to burn $1 million in notes before they can make another $1 million.

I think this is the effect you are seeing.

Either that, or they build up very slowly.

Or it's a bug.

My personal jury (12 good men and women true) is out to lunch on this one. But I'm gonna go for the first option.

its done on purpose and it makes me happy. You have all mined yourselves silly thinking that respawned ore would last forever..making you rich and making you into mega corps. Well this is another balancing act from CCP. You had all the weapons 'balanced' to give you a chance against mo0 and the like, you had pirate loot drops 'balanced' so there wouldnt be a disparity between you poor souls who have never hunted or hunted so little and those who spend their eve gamelife hunting (like me) and now you want unlimited roids with unlimited ores...shame its been balanced...just gives you all something else to moan about

Aldebaran

It makes the hunting type like you happy because you never care about mining, but it makes the miners' lives miserable. I would not call it balancing. It's an over-correction that CCP does, and it appears that everything CCP does has been over-correction from one extreme to the other, be it gun balancing, or asteroid spawning

Yup, it's the good old sledgehammer again.

The majority of players are extremely unhappy with the direction CCP has been taking the game. One merely has to look at the server population numbers to confirm this - They peaked 4 weeks ago (6300 max online), and the weekend peak has been getting lower and lower every week since then. (5400ish last weekend at absolute max).

Face it, new players need roids in the 1.0 belts to mine for a new frigate so they can move outwards. But with the new roid respawn system, I can guarantee you that the majority of new players will not play for more than a few days before deciding that EVE sucks.

Also, this is as much of a problem in 0.0 as it is in 1.0. Corps simply cannot move from system to system with the current office shortages.

Im a miner and i dont find the game boring!
Whenever i come to these forums i always see the same type of people moaning about the changes.
The fact is the asteriods do not respawn all the time because this was lame, it allowed you to sit in the same place mining the same ore over and over again. Meaning any no brain could get millions. Now you have to search for ore and when you find it its valuable (more so then before) and i can ask most any price :) Yeah i know you all want free battleships and super guns and ore that appears in your hangers. Or to be able to type in MONEY and get a mill but its not a console game. Takes skill and intelligence now and we will see the true winners prosper and the lamers quit caus they have to think. Its a pity really but hey, never mind.
Stop complaining about the improvements and get on with it. This is a forum not a whiiiinem ;)

Well, if this game gets any more balanced for me, I'll have to quit because it seems CCP wants me to do nothing other than sitting in a station and chat...

However the rare Ore is respawning or being shuffled around in it's current state is not working...

I hate the ole "you megacorps need to be nerfed statement" when something like this effects everyone in the game. Ya, we got a team scouting for rares atm, and will probably find some rocks with good amounts in them. We have the human resources, no doubt we'll find them...

So, ok, this effects small corporations with less human resources IN A POSITIVE WAY? How so?

Does this effect ore that is marked "for MegaCorp consumption ONLY"? No, this effects all ore, including Omber in more secure zones, for everyone.

It's a problem. It needs to be fixed for all that mines. Whether you have 3 corp members or 100, it matters not. There is a problem with how the ore replenishes.

And no, I don't think it should be infinite rares everywhere. No, I don't think they should be in capital spaces. But, the traders have a daily replenish of their resources. Why can't miners have something simular? Maybe not daily, but certainly something of a better replenish that what is going on now...

Also, these boards are not for whining, true. But, comments must be received. Problems need to be fixed. Nobody in CCP will know there are problems otherwise. If CCP thought the best idea to stop gates from crashing and getting people stuck was just to remove them, well, someone needs to stand up and say "Hey! That isn't a good idea and here is why." So that they can fix it with other solutions, and find alternatives.

Most of the "improvements" CCP has made has been because of people "whining". Just because people want to critiise something, doesn't make them whiners. They are merely wanting a good game as I hope most of the rest do as well.

Charming I normally mine omber and kernite and have been in systems that are seldom mined so have not run into this problem. But when you add this to the nerf to pirate drops the nerf to various guns that we went to the trouble of getting and now they make mineing frustrateing too, what do they expect people to do? If they are trying to get us to PvP more then fine in my instance its time to find another game. PvP brings out the worst in people just look at how it ruined UO. EQ was more intelligent about it and their player base has proven they were correct in their opinion that most people are not that interested in it. So put back into the game the fun stuff or get ready for people to start canceling their accounts.

So really it seems all people who are playing really need some "Cheating Tools" or they ARE unhappy and leaving.

NO IT WASN't SUPPOSED THAT EVERY AS..... IS FLYING A BATTLESHIP, because he mined like a crazy omber in an 0.8 riot.

I think if now, in about one month the game would have been released, everybody would have been satisfied ... but now people are upset, because some used that EXPLOITS and are already rich and HAVE EVERYTHING the game is offering in that state of development and others have been to slow. They are now leaving ... because they see they couldn't get that fast to this point where this others are.
And this is with people, who are figthing NPCS, mining, scouting, manufactering, researching and player killing

EVERYTHING
WAS
TOO
EASY

and even all the EQUIPMENT costs now around 30% what it should have cost MOA 16millions and now it is 5millions ...

So think about it that all was too easy AND IS STILL too easy ...
that's it you have seen everything the game is offering after 2 months !

Off of eve-i.com:

As many know respawned asteroids seem only to hold a very low amount of ore. There was a very short QA on IRC about it:

<Athan|BIG-C`> Pann: any *official* word on what's up with these roids spawning with 10 or less ore in them ?
<@Pann> Athan, this will sound like a total cop-out, so I apologize in advance, but all I can tell you is that a) we are aware of it and b) LeKjart is sick and until he's back, there's not much chance of anyone touching that

Now that I know it's a bug, and not a feature I can look at the situation better...

I wish eve-online or the ingame news told us something of the problem. Where's my news about a great space monster with an eating disorder that went on a rampage eating all the ore in the universe?
