Is anyone jamming NPC in missions? I tried this but it seems there are too many ships to jam them all and if I will not jam them I still must to tank. Which is hard in Caldari ships because tank is in mids.

Jamming works well when I am wingman. But I must be in Scorpion when doing level 4 mission to not to die when jamming fails. So it's better to bring another Raven and just kill them quick.

Tbh jamming during missions smells pointless, theres so many ships you couldnt possibly jam them all. For NPC hunting however it be more useful, as theres a LOT less NPC's around.

Ive been meaning to try ECM burts on scrambler NPC's though.

Ummmm as above tbh jamming on missions is a waste of time... as for Caldari ships... damn they are the choice of 90% of lvl4 mission doer's ... myself included. Granted you need good skills to run one solo effectively, but work on the skills and you should have no propblems solo'ing the majority of the lvl4's. Depending on your configuration and skills a raven can shield tank for close to 8-10 minutes... more than enough to deal with most missions Wink

A corp mate of mine runs ECM on his scorp against the NPC in complexes...it works a treat to be honest, he jams up the really nasty hitters and can still deal damage with his launchers so hes a really useful member of the team that way.

It has to be said though he has great ECM skills and as far as i can understand whats hes saying can jam practically anything with one module if he goes racial. So that makes a total of 6 jammed BS (or whatever) with his setup.

My Wingman for L4 missions fly's a scorp and Does jam any BS that gets in his his range. Works very well IMO. Heh he'll also Jam up sentry guns if they shoot at him. lol I think he usually has just cruise in, and Possibly a heavy, to take out the little stuff. Ill have to ask aout the heavy launcher again heh.

i do l4 in a scorp and i do use 1 race-specific jammer but with ecm skill at 4 and ecm-strength skill at l3 i don't manage to jam them 50% of the time and i'm within my optimal, but i usually only try to jam BS, cruisers only when there are many and they hit hard, but that seldom happens, mostly i just tank them

i fight Guristas, and the scorp has a high resistance against jamming, maybe that is the cause

use a racial... great for jamming webbing frigs and cruisers...they jam like 85% of the time for me.. bs's dont jam too often, but sometimes 20sec of no dmg from one can make a big diff in a tight spot. i use a caldari jammer for guristas... also my skill are all at 4..

Having another hardener or amp makes a bigger difference imho.

I use a ferox for the hardest level3 missions, fitted with 5 250mm and 2 heavy launchers. I used to use a web but sometimes use instead a racial jammer. There's a flaw with how jammers work, and a npc interceptor will stop dead on track when jammed. Needless to say that it won't survive the whole cycle, blown up in one or two volleys. A racial jammer is thus more versatile than a web, in my case.

Ive just started playing with Jamming in a Scorp, and used it as an excuse to try Railguns out.

4x 425 named
2x siege

1x SB II(not really needed)
3x Gravimetric jammers named
4x Sensor Dampener IIs

2xCPR, 1xRCUII 1x PDU

Use the sensor damps on the sentries and longrange BS, a gravimetric on everything else. Dont bother with a tank, someone else should be doing that. Watch out for stuff attacking you if your jam cycle runs out.

Rails, doing Kinetic dmg mainly, work nicely against Guristas.
