The way to get ride of the problem is to return to learning skills. After a player spends time bringing up the learning skills so they can train the skills needed for the ganking, they have invested 6 or 7 months and are unwilling to do so. Right now I can be in a gank battleship inside of 30 days. That is the difference between the old EvE and the new hunk of crap.

I don't suicide gank and have been victim of suicide ganks but the purpose of letting such a mechanic in the game is to make sure everyone knows that in Eve you are never safe. This is a founding principle of the game and suicide ganking ensures that it is a fact. In short, its working as intended.

imo ganking isnt the problem, the penalty for carrying out a gank is what needs looking at.

The way for me to get very rich in EVE, could be if everyone donated 10m ISK to me each.

Both scenarios have just about the same chance of happening.

I can get behind that. CCP definitly needs to look at crime vs. punishment, ensure that the punishment fits the crime. Blowing up people in high sec is out right lawless behavior, personally I think it should be insta -5.0.

If you're upset about the idea of ganking in EVE then you need to push the CSM/CCP to stop insurance payments on ships destroyed by Concord for high-sec aggression. Much like my life insurance policy won't pay out if I get killed during the commision of a crime, EVE insurance shouldn't pay out if the ship was lost during unprovoked aggro.

It's been brought up a thousand times or more on these forums before about stopping insurance payouts for ganking.

I personally don't see what's so difficult about stopping insurance payouts when the person who lost the ship lost it to CONCORD or had a GCC.

Don't pay out insurance when people are killed by concord.

Suicide ganking is a part of the game and always has been, eve is not safe anywhere and that's kind of one of the points of the game, if you don't like it there's the door, it doesn't go anywhere but there it is Razz

It's pretty much like real life - I've been robbed walking down the street in broad daylight - the police catch him and he gets off with a 20 hours community service.......

Sure, because, like, you HAVE to train learning skills before you can, like, train anything else? amirite?

That will TOTALLY solve it!

Fix Problem = ummm don't fly round with expensive stuff in gankable ships maybe?... And bringing back learning skills has got to be one of the least effective possible solutions to this "problem".. A better one would be to lower or remove the insurance payout if CONCORD are involved in the death of a ship or something, rather than make people train for 6 months just to train faster =/

P.S. If EvE is a hunk of crap don't play it anymore?

Then why did it happen then also?

The solution to suicide tanking is to not carry expensive items in fragile ships.

Erm....and a Ganking Drake LONG before that. Who uses BS to Suicide Gank ??????

Also, as another poster said, the presence of Learning Skills HAD NO EFFECT on this.

I personally don't see what's so difficult about fitting a few tank modules and not AFKing with expensive items in the cargo hold, but I guess the world is a confusing place.

I've got no problem with the co-ordinated suicide ganks for profit by people who have selected and scanned down a target and accepted the consequences of their actions.

I've got a problem with that dude with -10 sec rating in a nano fit bs making it into .7 space before randomly bombing people at the gate and podding my alt with a set of +5's and implants flying rens to jita in an empty frigate.

Buff the police a bit.
