Well, this is a new one. The past few weeks (I only log in to change skills) when I am in the game for more than 10 minutes, Eve disconnects. Well, not really. What Eve is doing is turning off my computers internet connection. I had no idea this was possible.

When I am playing, the screen freezes. and it appears Eve has dc'd. On the desktop (windows 7 PC) the Network icon in the lower right corner has a red "X" through it. My roomates on the same router can still use the internet, but my computer has lost it. I try "repair connection" and windows is unable to fix, it says that the line appears to be physically disconnected, and I should plug it in again. After changing cables and resetting my router and cable modem, my computer still has the red X.

I have learned that if I reboot my computer, it can again find the internet connection with no problems, and it doesn't lose the connection until I try to play Eve again.

It took me a while to track down Eve as the culprit, as I have been training week long skills. Also, I am running Firefox in the background while playing Eve, dunno if that is the cause or not.

Thoughts?
