Describe your experience, make comments, suggestions, etc.: performance to the last mass test didn't improve much, weirdly when jumping into the gate camp in poitot i was not spawned at the gate. I reappeared 60 AU away in deadspace and warped back to the gate like i had a crash and relogged. Undocking took hours in comparrisson to the last mass test. Client was far more stable today than last test.

Describe your experience, make comments, suggestions, etc.: The test was quite interesting, if laggy. The warp bubbles and shots from players who were told not to were rather annoying, but not really CCP's fault. The lack of market seeding in the final test system was a bit of a bother since it kept me from getting a replacement for the ship I lost (no way to hit any of the NPCs in teh final part), but no big issue.

Would I do it all again? Smile

Not having been in a large fleet before, I don't have a frame of reference aside from my times in Jita. 3-4

Did you experience any disconnects, complete freezes or crashes?

No.

Describe your experience, make comments, suggestions, etc.:

Mostly graphical lag from having to draw everything. Moderate network lag during the mass dock, undock, and jumps. Didn't notice much network lag in module use.

This being the first time I've participated in a Mass Test, I found it interesting. I need to look more into configuring the overview in the future as I only had the default configurations (PvP, WarpTo, and General were used as applicable) to work with, which made the overview very busy and difficult to keep up with during the PvP and PvE fights. Then again, it could be that busy during large fleets anyway.

Describe your experience, make comments, suggestions, etc.:
... I noticed when trying to warp out and back at 100km, I kept arriving at various distances - 15km, 45km, etc. If I were to guess, I'd say that the lag delayed the drop in speed out of the warp? Happened both in ship as well as pod. Issue was no longer a problem when I returned to 6-CZ49.

... It might be worth it to ask designated experienced pilots to assume commander roles to maintain a cohesive, more simultaneous response to instructions. Wasn't an issue - just a suggestion.

... Suggest adding the step of 'join audio' for their fleet channel, again for instant reactions - but also in case that feature proves to increase overall lagging?

... Fun experience seeing so many pilots and variety of ships all at once... especially for someone new to the game like me. :)

Many, maybe 8. All were "exception raised...do you want to debug it?" clicking "no" resulted in a black screen that persisted until I used force quit. All occurred when in crowded space, none in station, or while alone in space.

One occurred during the docking process and after re-logging I found I was docked and could not undock ( it would start the process, then abort it) until I changed ships. That first ship is now bugged in some odd way and cannot be made active. Ill bug report it, maybe you can figure what happened to it and find things to fix.

On one re-log, all my modules were off-line. This happened just before the first gate jump. Nicely docking was called for after that so I had a chance to turn everything back on.

On the re-log after getting podded I could not control the client in any way except type in chat. I turned on the monitor and saw an ever increasing number of outstanding calls. Packets kept coming and going without ever clearing an outstanding call. I had to quit and re-log... again.

I also got a crashlog of one of the crashes, so Ill make a bug report with that too.

* Describe your experience, make comments, suggestions, etc.:

Very annoying mass test, mainly due to the constant crashes, along with getting podded while trying to re-log (Just like a 0.0 fight!)

When players think its the norm to crash in a fight and re-log to a med clone, something is wrong.

Average FPS during fight at the gate in Poitot, with brackets disabled - Zoomed out:

Zoomed in: I had about 15 seconds of activity before I lagged out completely. While still in my ship with all modules and full shields/armor/structure showing I got an insurance payout and a notice of my pod's destruction via eve mail about 5-10 minutes before I saw any changes in my screen.

On a scale of 1-10, how would you compare FPS and performance between this test and TQ? (1=way worse, 5=same, 10=OMG this is awesome) 1

Did you experience any disconnects, complete freezes or crashes? 3 crashes and one disconnect, though ONLY when it was trying to load stations during the docking/undocking test and when I was podded during the fight by a smartbomb.

Describe your experience, make comments, suggestions, etc.:

I had a strange experience with the second station I attempted to dock in. The first station docking/undocking attempt went smoothly besides a roughly 2-3 minute blackscreen on the undock. The second station docking attempt caused a crash while I was still in space awaiting docking approval. When I restarted the game and logged back in, I was in station. When I attempted to undock the loading bar went through all of its paces and each time I hit the black screen for undocking where I should have appeared in space, the bar would flash 'aborting undocking' and I'd be stuck back in station.

I attempted to leave my ship but clicking 'leave ship' from the drop-down menu did nothing - no loading, no error messages, it simply had no effect. I was free to move in the station environment and was able to make repeated attemts at undocking but each time it would auto abort when it came time to load space. I was only able to get free of the station after exiting and restarting the client.

Not sure if its noteworthy or not but I think the main reason for my total lag-out during the actual fight once I joined in was the logserver hogging all my memory (it was in server mode). Even after the fight was over it was sucking up 450,000k and I couldn't even log back into Singularity until I shut it off (this was after the game crashed on attempting to load my pod in station after I had been podded). Even in fights with upwards of 1500 people I have never lagged out as badly as I did on this ocassion.

Average fps was 15 with brackets on, zoomed in

I give this test a 7

No dc's, complete freezes or crashes.

Apart from the massive lag spike just as the test was starting (dunno what the hell happened there) it went very well. The docking and undocking in the first system was good, the jump to the next system was perfect, very little wait time. The mass undocking in the next system took a while. The fighting was good, no lag in module activation or deactivation.

  • Something is really ****ed with the overview, reducing FPS by literally like 95%... however, in the fight in poitot, FPS dropped to 0.5 for both clients, even though when both fleets was sitting at the gate before jumping, I had 30 FPS on both clients (without overview).

I've never been in a fight that huge before. It was very fun even if I couldn't see anything from that far away.

Average FPS during fight at the gate in Poitot, with brackets disabled - Zoomed out: 29 FPS

Zoomed in: 4 FSP

On a scale of 1-10, how would you compare FPS and performance between this test and TQ? (1=way worse, 5=same, 10=OMG this is awesome)
5 when the number of people around was like Jita. 1 when whatever happened that caused everyone to drop to 4 FPS zoomed out.

Did you experience any disconnects, complete freezes or crashes?
None at all.

Describe your experience, make comments, suggestions, etc.:
Not knowing what to expect I had quite bit of fun. The docking and undocking was slow but I expected that with a few hundred all doing the same thing. Longest transition was an undock and a full 2 minutes to get me back in space.
