Will a Scimitar get primaried and if so how often?
Does sig radius or speed mitigate the damage like it would against a player fired torpedo?
If sig radius doesn't matter and scimitars will get primaried then is it better to have fully rep-capable scimitars that will slowly die over the course of the encounter or a set of weaker rep scimitars that won't die?
If all the Scimitars fit weak reps will they die because even though they can tank the alpha strike they can't hold reps?
It seems these are the important questions.
In answer to your questions:
Very rarely.
Yes, but the MOM alpha is large enough for the myth of "I had an ab on and I still died zomg!" to have risen.
Anecdotally of course, I run HG Halo set sig tank, and have never come close to losing a Scimitar.
The problem with fitting an AB is that if you happen to be webbed just before the bomber spawn, it doesn't really help, and its a slot that could have been used for tank.
"Fully rep capable" Scimitars are essential, because being small/fast ships when they get primaried they don't actually take full damage. So don't need that many incoming reps once the initial alpha is caught, your fellow logies just need to be on the ball.
On the other hand, Battleships with Sig Radius like small moons are generally stationary and so take full damage when primaried, once the alpha is caught, it actually takes far more reps to keep the big ships up, although they obviously have significantly more buffer to survive the alpha.
If you bring fully tanked Scimis with only 2 or 3 large reps, you may keep the scimis alive, but you'll lose Battleships hand over fist.
Good questions, the simple fact is you don't/shouldn't be losing logistics as much as you did in the early incursions. Especially not Scimitars.
I'd be surprised/disapointed to lose more than 1 logistic, and its not uncommon to go without loss entirely. Compare that to the early incursions, when I've seen 6 basilisks lost in a MOM.
With general improvements in pilot experience/skill & fitting knowledge, it shouldn't be that big a deal.
Good luck.
