We can fly space-ships.
We have enough wealth to buy entire planets.
But we can't hire someone to deal with the paperwork?

Looking at the recent blog on null-sec got me thinking about EVE in general - surely if one area of focus is to reduce the clickerty-click of managing the basic day to day operations to allow for more play-time, shouldn't there be an option to hire NPC's to deal with all of the 'stuff' that we need to do?

If tasks like POS management could be completed by NPC's, would capsuleers be happy to hand over nominal fees for this?

Wouldn't this reduce lag, increase isk sinks and increase playtime/multiplayer interaction?

I use POS management as an example, but there has got to be hundreds of administrative tasks that can be assigned to an NPC as an option?

What would you want to see as an option for an NPC to handle for you? And how much ISK would you pay for it?

I want an NPC to forget to refuel the POS and then go on holiday for 2 weeks.

No, that's impossible, it would mean that CCP would be making an innovative and interesting feature that would make EVE less tedious and annoying.

if NPC's are gankable just like those undocking hauler ****whits (and player pays for their cargo) sure why not ;D
something new to gank and new way to make players hurt .... also a way to "watch over the slaves" not be one ... and a dynamic objective by itself...

Lol, regular people. I like what you did there.

I hire regular people all the time to do the crap work. They're called Mexicans and Chinese. Who do you think plays this game for me? Who do you think bots for me? Who do you think is going to clean my CQ? Who will fight my DUST battles for me?

Nobody else wants those jobs.

Well, we are supposed to be demi-gods, so yeah - couldn't think of another way of putting it. My view on the New Eden Populace goes something like this:

Jovians = Gods
Capsuleers = Demi-Gods
everyone else = [insert politically correct definition here]

Umm...spaceships don't fly. Flying involves airfoils and aerodynamics. There's no air in space. You can pilot a spaceship. You cannot FLY a spaceship.
