It seems that the Artillery is seriously overlooked concerning its t2 ammunitions; you can also notice the unbalance in the market.

I think I've used tremor a couple times over the past 4 years, it's handy when you need extreme range and don't have to worry about tracking. The short ranged t2 ammo is however completely worthless. It kills range far worse than the ever so slightly less damaging RF fusion/PP/EMP and also nukes your tracking as if the range wasn't bad enough. In order to use it, you have to be in autocannon range. And that defeats the whole purpose of fitting arty in the first place. It's just ill conceived. That problem extends to short ranged t2 ammo for both beam lasers and railguns however.

Incidentally, hail is the only t2 short range ammo that also isn't viable. Conflagration and void have nearly the exact same overall ranges as their faction short range equivalents, hail however has roughly half the range of it's faction equivalent. I don't think I've ever seen hail used effectively. I have seen it used ineffectively, however, for whatever that's worth.Laughing

i disagree, barrage is great for pvp when you need to hit frigates that orbit slightly farther away than other ships. otherwise i just use hail and mwd to get up close like a creepy pedobear. quake & tremor are also nice for medium ships, but once you get to large the tracking "bonus" is a huge problem.

as for amarr, ive only used smalls. i cant stand the beam laser's range with the t2s and the pulse lasers have the same problem, just with higher dps and slightly better tracking.

hybrid turrets, i have no idea about these. ask someone who can use them!ugh

Barrage L is beautiful for structure shoots.

I use quake for station camping where tracking or range doesn't matter
tremor is used for sniper ships

the rest of the close range ammos are good when fighting bigger targets(higher class) or slow moving ones
