I see the fanfests, the ads, the marketing budget , 500 employees apparently in CCP.

We have dozens and dozens of pages of balancing issues, like the one i posted about the cosmos blueprints.

i havent seen any replies from devs to any questions, my guess is there are too many marketing / sales people in CCP and not enough coders.

you are charging $15 a month for the privilege of us playing, there is no content worth anywhere those $15 dollars , every month.

fanfests are all nice and good, but i get the impression that this game is being ran more and more like a private business, more interested in selling the product than improving it.

this forum has got hundreds of pages of ideas , complaints etc, if only 12 people were dedicated to game balancing alone, and another 3-4 to filter the good from bad ideas/ bugs being reported, we woulndt have hundreds and hundreds of topics without an answer or feedback.

making money is well and good, but you get the same feedback here as a free to play MMO,

and dont get me started on the stellar council , the are mostly mega billionares in big alliances, i dont think they represent much of the average eve player.

and if they do, what is the point if not enough coders balance the game?

how many people is there actually working daily on balancing issues, (like the one i reported about cosmos blueprint rewards being pointless as nobody buys/sells the finished product and the BP sell for peanuts because they are too expensive to make and barely better than a salvaged meta 4.....).

whose brilliant idea is that ? doesnt anyone check the contracts, these cosmos missions have been there for years!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

stop the " our game is better than the rest " attitude, bioware is making a mmo with voice acting!!!, where is the bang for your buck in EVE?

even dragon Age costs $39, no other fees to pay and has impecable graphics missions , voice and FMV.

In my opinion is far too little far too slow and far too expensive, stop recruiting salesmen start recruting coding people, AND START ANSWERING THE PLAYERS FEEDBACK!!!!

i was playing X3 X4 before coming to eve (not perfect games by any strech) but at least they didnt charge $15 fee each month for nothing.

and that is the point...... what the heck do we get for $15 a month? , the use of a server, and paying for parties in Iceland?

get real.....

They are working on balancing the game at the moment ! supercaps are being balanced and then other ships, and this winter there will be an expansion working on polishing current things in the game. so its just around the corner

And not all employees of a company work on programming , there are the managers , the artists < and much respect ! Admin and others and all of them are important in there own way , to balance things they have to sort out massive spreadsheets , it takes time. CCP makes mmo's that others wont dare touch makes it even harder for them but they will get there.

Yes your Post yesterday, how many employees do you propose monitor the forums 24/7 to give you a response within 24hrs to an issue that may/may not be an issue/already reported.

Its an open market, it happens. Maybe there is no conracts as the stuff is bought as quickly as its put on contract? Or maybe your correct no one wants it.

But hey that happens on a open market game like this, some sells some dont.

there are 174 itmes in the CSM list of changes alone.

that is just a small selected percentage that they chose.

really? "AdZc" ?, after 7 years of eve development? you thinks this is ok?

you must have some really low expectations or too much isk/real money to throw away

i dont think spending tens of hours doing cosmos missions which have been around forever ...... asking to get something useful in return is asking too much..... these are meta 6 items, the finished product shoulnd cost more than the faction equivalent due to manufacturing costs?

CCP have other projects? that is fantastic, but since they are paid by my wallet and the rest of the Eve players this isnt a rant , it is common sense issue.

Basically CCP leaves it to CSM and bored CCP employees to review these forums.

In practice CCP operates like any other corporation in that most ideas originate or are stolen and sponsored by management in isolation from any customer input. A corporation survives or succeeds or fails based on how well management matches up to something customers can tolerate or likes buying what management wants to sell.

CSM is authorized to bring forward ideas from the EVE player base -- but like most customer service is not actually required to do so. However, other techniques may serve to quiet the natives (tournament sponsorship, etc). Like any other customer relations, when CSM does bring forward user ideas, they may or may not have success in doing so in face of CCP management prejudice favoring their own ideas.

In practice I think CCP keeps CSM members too busy to do much forum reading if they still stay active as players. Too many CCP plans to review or endorsements to sign, etc.

So you are hoping a bored CCP employ is not too ego bruised by negative job events and decides to read this forum. Further you are hoping he/she is afterward not too ego bruised by user comments and is also impressed enough with a forum idea to risk his bosses wrath by proposing an idea not generated within CCP. Surely sounds likely to me.

(P.S. this idea venting forum is mainly a way to let customers vent frustration and gain hope with fantasies about future changes for the better...keeping the natives quiet. job served.)

Common sense ideas that should have been there from the start it seems CCP wants to SELL the ability to use or something, like the ability to turn off or keep on the resetting of the view and angle when using the LOOK AT shortcut. Some people want it to work the way it is, resetting zoom to close, when using ALT, and others, like me, would like to be able to disable that, allowing us to keep the current viewing distance we had - still zoomed way out but shifting view to the selected item/ship.

When making a new tab on the overview, it copies the tab before it and then you customize it how you want it. With this behavior, the individual tabs in the overview settings window should be customizable PER tab and not how they are now, changing the settings on all the tabs except for ONLY the FILTER tab. Everyone assumes all the tabs in the Overview settings window are unique per tab anyway; they are disappointed when they find out the truth.

This would allow us to make certain people show up with large icons while neutral show up with small, based on War Target, corp, alliance, or anything.

It would also allow for any customization anyone wanted, like if I only want neutral wrecks to show on one tab but corp wrecks to show on another.

I see MANY recommendations and have had only one or two of my twenty COMMON SENSE ideas get through to CCP. When I say common sense ideas, I mean ideas that do not impede ones ability to play while allowing someone to choose, to customize to their needs. If I said lets make all characters appear green, many others surely would not want theirs green; I am one :).

MOST of my ideas relate to the user interface and in no way should be rejected by anyone, like the idea to add a "custom" item to the bottom of all keep at range, orbit, or warp to within like menus, allowing us to TYPE in the distance AND the ability to set this custom distance as the default. This Means to also keep the current selectable items of 5km, 10km, 15km, and so on but allow to select the last item on the list "custom distance".

on the front of COSMOS BPCs and mods:

i personaly collect the BPCs from all 4 empire COSMOS constelations.
i have 50 BPCs all (3run and less)
i have 9 storyline modules
i have hundreds of construction components

all of that cost me about 1months sub (total time i worked on getting items)

and this is by no means a lot of COSMOS related fluff.

finaly people do use COSMOS items...
