Told you guys they were just a bunch of script kiddies. Everyone of them that has been arrested has been a teenager this one at 19 being the oldest the youngest so far was 12.

I still find it funny people thought these script kiddies were some how l33t hackers.. They controlled a decent sized bot net which is easy enough to get and it's not like it requires a lot of skill to DDoS a website or log-in server.

So let me get this straight.

As long as nobody gave a ****, these little virgin nerds kept living their 1337 haxors dream.
As soon as someone started giving a ****, the single one of these idiots of legal age got arrested. Too bad you can't arrest 13 yo little cracking idiots.

This is my surprised face.

CCP should make a plex for good program so we can donate money to help them, they are doing so much good would be sad to see them go to jail.

Because extorting money and threatening bodily harm to employee's and their families if they don't comply is a good thing.

If you think these people are hero's, you need to educate yourself.

They are first amendment freedom fighters, captured by the enemy, now they need our support more then ever.

I doubt you'd feel that way if they tapped you on the shoulder electronically and said "Pay us, or all of your personal information will be publicly released as often and as many times as necessary to ensure your capitulation. We also know everything necessary about your family members and can "make contact" with them if it becomes necessary".

It is doubtful you will ever have to worry about this as you do not own a company. That does not change the fact that if you were targeted your tune would change instantly.

They have started targeting people that are in their "good book", and no longer show restraint in what the repercussions are to the people they target.

Vigilantes are cool and all, right up until they decide to come after you.

I don't know what government agency you work for, but no one here believes you evil lies. They are good people who every day risk their freedom fighting for the very ideals democracy is build on, you should be ashamed of yourself for spreading such evil lies.

So when did they exhort any money from CCP (or any of their other targets)?

I missed that part.

One excerpt that has surfaced recently.

(KARIM) So did we wrong you in some way, letís get to the point?
(LULZ) <@Ninetales> If you wronged us, all of your affiliates would be crushed. Donít worry, youíre in the good books. The point is a very crude word: extortion.
(LULZ) <@Ninetales> And what weíre both willing to agree upon that you sacrifice in return for our silence.
(LULZ) <@Ninetales> While I do get great enjoyment from obliterating whitehats from cyberspace, I can save this pleasure for other targets. Letís just simplify: you have lots of money, we want more money.
(LULZ) <@Ninetales> Prepaid Visas, MoneyPaks, BitCoins, Liberty Reserve, WebMoney, the flavor of your choice. Naturally weíll avoid PayPal.

No, they did not attempt to extort money from CCP. Apparently they reserve this (at the moment) for security companies that run botnet detection services... those with big money and ties to national security.

Well, to be fair, they haven't said anything yet on their Twitter since that news came out.

They were faster to answer on the last guy they've arrested few weeks ago.
