I fail to see the reason for all the rage. If you don't want to play the game then don't. No reason to be a ***** about it.

I was also dissapointed by CCP's recent screw-ups. I also unsubbed. However, I do NOT rage on the forums like a five year-old sent to bed early.

"Everything that has transpired has done so according to CCP's design. Your friends, up there in the forums, are walking into a trap, as is your Rebel fleet. It was *CCP* who allowed the rebels to know the location of the shield generator. It is quite safe from your pitiful little band. An entire legion of CCP's best moderators awaits them. Oh, I'm afraid the deflector shield will be quite operational when your friends arrive."

you can lock these posts all you want to keep new players from seeing the truth and saving their money for a company worth it, but what you don't realize is that most gamers already view CCP as a joke and a wanna-be, try as you might the harder you try to hide your greed the more people like myself make sure its visible on gaming sites, ezines, etc. so you go ahead lock this thread, it wont change a thing Wink

You can discuss your opinions on CCP all you want and we won't stop you. All we ask is that you guys refrain from discussing forum moderation on the forum. It takes quite a bit of work for our relatively compact community team to keep these forums in good shape, and if every action we take would spawn a whole new discussion it would soon turn into a vicious cycle that not even a legion of ponies could fix. You are welcome to send us a petition if you disagree with moderation.

I hope we can agree on those "rules of engagement".

Why can't guys like you just quit the game without whining, don't mistake our replies to your original post as concern for you, we actually don't care about you quitting at all.

Go quit the game, we won't miss you, I never saw you in space, you're not part of my income, I do not rely on you, so I really don't care. I just think it's laughable that you come on the forums to make this big announcement about quitting and actually expect people to cry over it. You're sadface post doesn't really impress me.

You seem to have a god complex where you believe by actually announcing that you are quitting makes any sort of a difference in the game... I look down on you.

You can rant all you want, but the real issue here is that you are ****ed off that you cant make everyone hate CCP as bad as you. Its up to each individual player to decide for themselves.

I have 6 accounts and all of them are "paid up" until next year - with PLEX.

Cheesemaking does not originated from the us, you are more likely feeling european, unless it was a very exotic cheese from asia or the middle east.

I'm sorry. Ah...just who is this forum for, the paying customers, i.e., "community", or the employees engaged to provide a service? "Rules of Engagement" huh? I THOUGHT forum moderators were around to keep the riff raff out, slander, racial remarks, gazonko politics and the like, and to make sure spammers (in the real sense of the word, not the arbitrary opinion of some CCP staffer) are kept at bay. What are forum moderators doing "ENGAGING" with the users in the first place?

Maybe you haven't heard. This is the world wide web. Only certain "types" of people (who think it's a bunch of "tubes") would dream of intervening in the content of the users (but for the standard, accepted race, creed color...etc.) But, from what I've seen, the moderators on this forum view themselves as active participants, whose moderation consists of trimming, pruning and fiat-ing free speech into the commode of (insert censored word denoting a rather extreme political faction of the recent past.)

What makes it laughable is, the same CCP/employee group fancies themselves as being on the cutting edge of internet presence - but with values that died with the 19th Century. I've seen several threads clipped due to the blanket term "lack of content", while the same moderator was elsewhere being "witty" on threads that had content in the -10 range.

This is why as a moderator you sit on your hands. Race, Creed, Gender, Color and that's it. Let the over-officious language censor do its stuff, and you guys pretend to be what you really are...which doesn't include ENGAGEMENT of any sort. Geez. Hubris has reached atomic proportions.

You know what an atom is? Well...that's a discussion for later...read a book or something.

In one hand, I agree with you. A 'forum', by definition, is an outlet which cannot reasonably be moderated due to natural human tendency to get off topic.

But if you want to say anything you want about a company, don't expect to do it on that companies website. ANY company. That's of course why they clearly post rules on most sites like this, so that the user base knows what the gist is about.

There are plenty of third party sites out there that DON'T lock your thread if you post about an EvE moderators action. Post there to your hearts content.

Of course, THEY probably won't allow you to break their rules, either.

Maybe you THOUGHT wrong.
