I will wait till the end of promotion and buy something valuable for 5500 AUR.
Or even better - I will wait till the AUR transfers will be available and gatther them all on one character.

If this isn't obvious then you can keep raging about "Oh my I can buy only boots for 1000 aur!!11"

I'll probably save my Aurum until the end of the promotion and trade it for a PLEX, if I can.

I will take the aurum and **** it with ***** and **** until ***** and **** **** ******.

Actually there are ONLY two things you can do with your aurum:
1. Spend it
2. Not spend it

I wouldn't say I'm raging. This is more of a sarcastic "Yay".

You and I both know if they gave away anything worth a crap people would be just as upset.

The fact that they offer rewards of any kind is thoughtful enough, I do not expect to be gifted with hundreds of millions in free promotional rewards for something I did not even take part in.

@Lady Spank

If I were you and at the point where I would despise anything a gamedeveloper does, even when it is a small gesture and a free gift, then I would certainly take a long break from the game.

Yep, CCP basically gave you free ISK, check the Apparel section in the market window.

Wait until you have 5500 (1000+1000+1500+2000, 4 separate rewards).
Your options will be much more varied.

Me, I'll most likely just let it sit there.

1. This isn't my thread.

2. I don't despise everything they do. I have a single objection. Feel free to point out how I have objected to everything else of late. The only other concern I have raised recently is with the poor functionality of the CTRL key, as evident in the Assembly Hall.

3. It's hardly a reason to take a break from the game I enjoy but I have every right to my opinion, as do you. Why are you upset by my objection?

LOL yea... true, maybe those patient enough can wait for prices to level off again somewhere close to where they were before, I know me and my five active accounts will be waiting for that moment in the next month or two, I may keep a pair of goggles or something fun for an alt but the rest I will convert to ISK and be thankful CCP even bothered to try to placate the masses whether I agree with $60 Monocles or not (Hint: I do not.)

I was under the impression prior to its release that everything in the NEX would match most other MMOs, $5-25 at most per parcel, which would have been satisfactory...but I was grossly misinformed it seems.

Errr... about that. In Jita, the 1,000 AU boots are averaging ~50M isk. PLEX is at ~360M isk. 1,000 AUR should be worth ~100M isk.

The conversion rate will tank further once everyone has 1,000 free AUR.

You're better off holding onto the AUR.

Yea I plan to horde it on my accounts and min/max the profit margins here in a month or so to squeeze what I can get out of it.
May keep a pair of goggles for fun tho, I wish there were more headgear out already tho, I also miss the breathalyzers and neon face guards from the days of yore.

Still crossing my fingers that the devs are not done adding in standard and free accessories though to complement racial diversity that existed previously.

I'm going to save it. I already have pants and boots, the tops don't interest me, nor do the goggles or faceplug.

Not going to use it until they lower the price by at least 50% on all items in the store.

See, one of the problems with the NeX is duplicating current character pose. It's exactly difficult to get the same pose with same light and the same expression when every time one enters the character editor those settings are reset to default.

Besides, for my pose, buying clothing is kind of pointless.

Are you sure you're not trying to do so between jump clones?
When I enter the character customization window and immediately proceed to the 'pose' window, it shows me exactly as I was when the previous avatar snapshot was used, then I can go back a screen and changes my clothes and accessories, proceed again, and viola I have replaced an article of clothing while maintaining quite literally the exact pose I had before.

It is kind of wonky I know, but I do know that it works the way you want it to if you fiddle with it enough.

Well I've petitioned to try and opt out of getting any free AUR, but if that fails I'll petition to have it deleted, and if that fails, I'll buy a 1000 AUR item and trash it.
