Just some time ago sleepers emerged near one of our corporation PoSes in a wormhole.

I don't yet have confirmations of any hostile activity, but the precedent of sleepers coming to the PoS is already something unheard of.

The sleepers emerged are not ususal for the worhole class this happened at.

The sceenshot of the first moments of the reported is included:

... it scared you so much you're unanchoring your pos and leaving?

Regardless, if this proves to be true, this would be an interesting twist in wormhole life, possibly some connection with the defecting scientist stuff.

No. Ths PoS was being unanchored for the other reasons.

It is possible that the ships emerged were unable to lock the PoS and thus did not attack it (no structures outside the field). However, they came as close to the field as possible.

Ships, as in multiple? How many, and what about that spatial rift there?

Well... I have one ship confirmed. Was there for about 15 minutes then leaved.

But I don't think this is the end...

Could be a live event...

This could be awesome!

If it's not, CCP take notice!
You have an great idea here.
Sleeper Incursions!

After all, we've been bumping around their structures for ages, it's about time they bumped around in ours.

Didn't you try to access it? Activate the spatial rift acceleration gate?

I was wondering how long this would take. Wink

I always thought Sleepers should have periodic open season on our POS's. Would definitely make things more interesting.

I, for one, welcome our new Sleeper overlords.

I've certainly read about sleepers reinforcing POSes before. This is not new.

If this is not photoshopped it's intriguing indeed.

You know... this would be a great way to clean out those old, abandoned pos's you find strewn about failed holes.

I, however, cordially invite the Sleepers to join us in a little friendly target practice at our pos.

No, our prople did not try to move out of the field even, as there was no understanding what's on and no pilots able to give a fight if needed was there.

I will provide the comunity with any details I got, but probably a little later.

"Read about"?

I've lived in Anoikis for two years and have never seen a Sleeper outside of a site. If you have evidence to the contrary, please provide me a link.

Its a bug, years ago when POS were first introduced, we had sansha belt rats follow us to the POS, they then started moving away and kept moving even after they passed the grid border.

CCP told us its a bug, no idea how to reproduce it though.

I've also seen this bug, had a few Angel rats warp to our pos in Impass

Neither of those bugs explain the rift shown though.

Yeah? Did the spatial rift warp from the belt with them too? 'Cause there's a spatial rift right frakkin' there in that photo!

And the NPC is sitting right on top of it. How's something like that happen by accident or bug, eh? Ahmean look at it!

Oh, an' another thing, it's a patroller people! Not an upholder or preserver or any of the dozens of names that wouldn't have made so much sense.

Tellin' ya, you just got scouted.

sleepers are incapable of attacking poses. so whoever said they had seen them doing so before is lying, or has been lied too. This exact question was asked at Fanfest and we were told that it was fundamentally impossible for NPCs to attack other NPCs. Such a venture would require a large overhaul of base coding, which given CCPs continual display of not enough coders id say it isnt being done right now either.. The round table was rly hoping they would come attack us :( lol.

that being said CCP could have lied to us.... but just saying. And so far ccp has done splendidly at picking all the wrong people to do these live events too. They either dont tell anyone, or dont act on it. so i am dissapointed >_<. judging from the icon that rift appears to be 2 way...

As I recall from my ancient days in empire, spatial rifts occur in certain missions. They're not interact-able there, so they may not be here either.

Some rifts are intractable, and you can use them much like warp gates.

For anyone who was on the Wormhole round table at fanfest they talked about trying this out as a way of freeing up cluttered poses from wormholes that are doing nothing and also as a bit of a twist into making sure people stay active and have something to do the idea went down really well.

I am curious to know however if this was on trnaquility or sisi?

I would certainly welcome the wreckfields around deathstars for zero amount of effort.

I'm sure CCP has already thought of this and given the Sleepers special anti-POS weapons.

Then I would enjoy the wreckfields around where a hostile POS used to be. Twisted Evil

Although the Sleeper shown in the image is a common cruiser easily taken out, it would be interesting if Sleepers were capable of taking some of those ****-poor excuses for a defended pos and knocking some sense into the owners. Obviously you don't want them to have the strength of a fleet of twenty BBs intent on mass destruction, but someone with four small guns and nothing else should be shown the err of their ways (not that they eventually won't be anyhow...).
