They too had no direction and where the master of nothing but tried to be in every pie with their fingers.

Am I the only one that see's this similarity?

We all know what happened to Commodore.

Nonsense, Elite on the C64 never crashed so CCP isn't as good as Commodore.

Having said that, the Amiga was a load of crap so you might be onto something.

You must be one of those Atari owners who couldn't pony up that extra 100 euros.

They made the awesome CBM64 and Amiga, shone like a light of pure awesomeness brighter than any sun, then burned out and were remembered by some of us with rose-tinted glasses as pioneers and heros?

http://www.zdnet.com/blog/hardware/the-commodore-64-is-back/12192

they updated their equipment and made a comeback? So if Commodore did this then it is fair to say CCP will come back as well..hopefully not after such a long time.

Yeah the A600, the CD-32 oh yeah, that looks like Incarna and NEX right now.

Not to mention all those other pies they had their fingers in, oh yeah WoD, Dust...

They never invented the Amiga, just dug out that old contract they found during the old Atari ownership of the Amiga ( yeah they did ), then just rode that then crapped all over it after being the master of nothing then management bungles, then flop.

Only atari I've ever had was the 2600. I've Had the C64 (tape drive, floppy drive, 1 needle matrix printer, Teltron 1200 modem and the obvious joystick (with it's micro switches replaced many times). Had VIC20, Amiga 500 (including extra memory and floppy drive).

Only non Commodore I've had (not counting PC's) was the ZX81 and the obvious game consoles.

So you are saying the entire mega corporations of microsoft, EA Games, THQ, Blizzard, Valve, Nintendo, etc. Should hire a **** ton of workers to make just one game? I'm glad its not up to you to run the video game industry or it would fail hard.

Nope, I am saying that the same thing that happened to Commodore at the management level is now seemingly happening now to CCP.

Direction, focus, fingers in pies, mastery, or lack off.

They did indeed, but the A1000 isn't the Amiga you are looking for /waves hand

Atari didn't invent the Amiga either btw, some ex-employees of Atari just developed the Lorraine chipset which eventually led to the A1000 after Commodore inc. acquired the rights. The A500 was Commodore's baby though, and a hell of a machine for its time.

The CD 32 was just... well, LOL, if it wasn't so sad. Embarassed
