He can't seem to stick to one game plan.
Now you are skipping from the unfinished incarna to work on the ships?

He has to stick to what's given to him by the money men. Not his choice to do this jiggle.

He's the lead designer for Internet Spaceships. Incarna isn't his baby.

The real question is: "Why is soundwave catering to Mittens every whim (giving huge buffs to 0.0 and nerfing wormholes) instead of iterating on existing content (like FW, for instance)?"

The answer is: a) They're both goons and b) Mittens gave soundwave political cover to be incompetent and unethical and this is payback.

From the minutes: "CSM noted that the playerbase associates Team BFF with Little Things, and warned that there will be some blowback when they find that Team BFF will be working on non-Little Things projects (such as the nullsec revamp)."

So basically CCP devotes a tiny share of resources to Internet Spaceships and then takes that tiny share of resources and devotes it entirely to making EVE easier for the big RMTing botting alliances and harder for the little guy. (While planning to break the game and sell back functionality to the players, as with fitting slots.)

Hey look, another faceless alt who doesn't know what the yellow question was.

WILL YOU BE SELLING NON-VANITY ITEMS FOR AURUM?
[X] YES
[ ] NO

CCP stoffer ninjapirate:
"I would like virtual goods sales in EVE. In fact, I'd like to sell a lot more than vanity items. ... There is a pretty overwhelming perception amongst EVE players that these changes are bad. I think they're brilliant, but our players don't. We're going to face an uphill struggle, and the reason many of us never talk about this publically [sic] is that we'd be burned at the stake by the players."

"Thatís not to say that I was in any way forced to take a position I disagree with, that certainly wasnít the case."

well that perception was provided by CCP with the BFF video aired during the AT.
what would you expect the players to think when a month ago we were handed this nicely polished puff piece on team BFF and how they are making eve better one post-beta bug at a time only to find out later that the little things are relegated to the back burner to fill the shoes of teams blundering their way through MT & polishing up trance-walking through a Mexican youth hostel.

At some point in time fixing lots of little things will have to take a backburner to fixing bigger problems that have been with us since Dominion. The playerbase might be able to help by suggesting alternate models for sovereignty, or at least simply staying out of the way while CCP magic-up the rules for Sov 3.0.

Hybrids are broken, sure. But there is a workaround in place - use another weapon system. Sov 2.0 is more broken than hybrids are, since Sov 2.0 basically tried to get rid of POS bashing fleets by replacing them with bigger POS bashing fleets. There is no workaround for Sov 2.0's failures, other than giving up and heading to lowsec/hisec.

Team BFF did a great job with a bunch of little fixes. Now they've collected a lot of the low-hanging fruit, it's time to focus on stuff that will improve the game. Sov 3.0 this cycle, perhaps something meaningful like Faction Warfare next year? Who knows?

Keep pushing for stuff that you think is broken to get fixed.

Alright while your here checking back for replies il make a reply , forward it to who ever is incharge of game mechanics.

Fix empire noob harrsment man! i been playing for over 4 years 2 years of which was in 0.0. Empire greifing is just getting out of hand now and im talking about greifing against new players here, all us older players know its true when we started we didnt have this problem.

I recruited close to 300 noobies with some from other games into our corp, then came along the 6 year old greifers who are bored with 0.0 and want to kill noobies in empire, end results is everyone quit. look at the graph http://evemaps.dotlan.net/corp/StarHug If you want more subscriptions simply fix this stupid problem.

Our war deck is now in its 7th week... everyone has quit and petition for harrasment is ignored.

Well now.........haven't YOU opened up a can of worms! Let's go ahead and look at your DotLan link, shall we?

The first thing I noted was your corp being kicked from every alliance bar one, including the one you made, hehe. This tells me something. You don't play well in a sandbox.

Then there's a link to your website, Let's look at the first post under General Discussion. A post pointing to a mining macro program. Way to teach those noobies to play the game, mate. WoW players welcome!

On Topic: Just like to add that I think it was really cool for Soudwave to drop in at Post 9 and clarify his position. This is the kind of thing we need to see more of. Kudos to you, sir. Also, OP, you're hardly to get much sympathy from even the most jaded player by coming here calling the Lead Designer ADHD. For 1, it's not a crime, and secondly, you using that as an insult shows your ignorance of the condition, which implies you're ignorance of the issue you made a post about.

One thing I WOULD like to see, would be a sticky somewhere when CCP gives interviews out that we might be interested in reading. Any chance this could happen, Soundwave?

Just my 2 aur.

If 'working on ships' means making new one's and not nerfing the **** out of ships and stats, then cool.

That wouldn't be so bad.

Glad it means some kind of content, but for crying out loud CCP stop being god awful at listening to your playerbase!! This is like marketing and business 101 I have seriously no idea how the HELL you manage to **** this up on such a regular basis and do it so well!

I mean for **** SAKE you couldn't have a MORE dedicated playerbase* than Eve but even YOU manage to SCREW this up regularly like it's part of your job description. * You might actually have a MUCH larger and MORE dedicated playerbase if you ACTUALLY stopped screwing us over on patches, content, and game changes you seem to pull out of your ass.

For once I'd like to tell my GAMER friends that Eve is great and they should try it, instead of them just laughing and saying how terrible CCP is.

*Rant off*
