I was searching Battleclinic and maybe I am just terrible at searching it, but I could find no good shield RR Domi fits, they all seem to be armor. I have a bud who is trying to make a fit for RRing us in a C3 hole in his Domi but havn't been able to find any builds to refer to for ideas. Was wondering if anyone had any fits they would share, or tell me we are being idiots (and why) for using RR shields?

The Domi is not the best ship to use, not enough highs or PG to use RR and guns (and drones in W space are just a general no-no).

How about a Meggy?

If you are set on shields though, you'll need 1 or 2 large shield RR's, a probe launcher, guns and a salvager. Fit for 1-2 LSE's and the rest as hardeners. Forget ABs or MWDs.

I think one of the better BSs to use would be a Phoon, tempest, geddon or a raven

Drakes mostly. He simply wants to run a repping boat and has gallente skills and I have heard good things about RR domi's in the past.

You don't bring a salvager on a BS in a WH you own. You dont bring a probe launcher on a BS in a WH you own. Sentry drones in a C3 dont get attacked and provide 500 DPS.

OP, do you want to shield tank the domi also and spider tank or you wanna be the nurse? Big difference... What ships will be in the fleet and how will they be setup?

Not me flying it, I am just better at finding fits then my friend. But he wants to RR the fleet with the Domi, and there is an industrialist who is going to make a Domi as well if I can find a good fit for it, so ideally it would be a pair of RR Domi's nursemaiding the Drakes/Maelstrom/Tengu in the sites. They will all be shield tanked, mostly passive buffer tanked if we get a good RR setup that is stable.

I'll try to work on something at work. We use shield RR domi's sometimes but dont shield tank them. My hole is WR so i don't even think about shield tanking.

I've flown this a couple of times in my old corp. With the energy vampire, you can perma run all 3 reps or 2 reps and the energy transfer.

Personally I think you over complicating running ca's in a C3. The Tengu can run its own T2 tank and still do over 500dps with 5 launchers and not have to worry about cap or tank, maalstrom should also be OK if it pulses an XL sb, if not it could just warp away, not much scramming in C3's. Everyone else should just fly in a drake.

Solo drake passive fit will do a C3 anom in 30-35 mins(use CN scourge for cruisers and frigs and Scourge Fury's for the BS), so adding more ships will do it quicker and you will be able to tank less and add more damage mods. If you worried about RR, with good skills you can fit a Medium S95 partial shield to a passive drake and some light shield bots.

Be curious to know how well the maalstrom does in a C3, maybe arty fit and warp in at range...

We don't think we NEED the RR domi, one of the guys WANTS to fly one so I am looking for fits that would make it useful. We presently use several drakes, his Domi with sentinel drones and blasters and a maelstrom which is not able to tank the dmg in there because there are so many damn neuting ratts in C3 sites that his cap never lasts long when he is under fire. Thus the domi pilot decided since he rarely uses his guns to good effect he may as well go RR and make it so the big dps mael can stay in permanently instead of having to warp out, and the indie pilot agreed and they figured between the two of them they could make sure no one would be forced into leaving the site.
