I'm trying to do some Fullerene reactions at a POS, and the reaction isn't starting. I have two reactors, with the right (type and quantity) inputs and outputs for each. Everything is online, and the links are correct, I've tried clearing and relinking multiple times and hitting apply, but it's not working. One of the reactors gets to the "online - active" stage, but another reactor is stuck on "online - starting up", and has been for hours. It's worked before, but after I offlined some silos to refill them and reonlined them, it hasn't gotten past "starting up". I also sacrificed a chicken to the POS Management gods. What else do I have to do?

Confused

edit: welp, figured it out after some finagling.

Been there. Done that. Drove me bonkers because I just couldn't see it for the longest time.

Typically that means you've connected something wrong. Or you haven't waited at least 2 tower ticks (could be nearly 3 hours depending when you online reactor). You of course know when your tower ticks, right?

Be real paranoid. Make one connection at a time. Press apply, then move to a different tab on the management window and back again; this forces it to refresh.

You may have to offline the reactor(s) before connecting things in order to get it all to work. Once everything is connected, then online the reactor.

Click-n-drag outputs from right to left, and drop onto inputs:

Reactor (input) <- (output) Biochemical Silo (Fullerite #1)
Reactor (input) <- (output) Biochemical Silo (Fullerite #2)
Reactor (input) <- (output) Coupling Array (Mineral)
Hybrid Polymer Silo (input) <- (output) Reactor

You never need to offline the reactor to empty/refill the silos. Just do silo maintenance at times chosen to avoid the tower tick. Example, it takes 3 minutes to online a silo, so don't offline them less than 15 minutes before a tower tick. Keep the reactor going continuously for minimum headaches.

Haven't run into this problem yet *crosses fingers*. Though it did take me a while to figure out the wonderful and fantastic UI and set-up procedure after cross referencing several out of game tutorials. Glad you got things sorted. Polymer production is by far the most ******ed part of this game I've experienced so far.

Why do the silos have to be offlined to swap out materials?
Why is there a 1 hour delay before the thing even starts cooking?
Why bother with this whole routing through the tower nonsense?

Just give me one monolithic structure that I dump all the materials in. Double click on it to open up its own UI that looks like this: [BP] [?] [?] [?].
Insert Reaction BP into first slot, then the other slots light up with faint image of required materials. Drop materials into slots. Output is calculated and displayed. Press button. Receive bacon. Immediately.

Ugh.

Make sure you are clicking 'apply' AND 'reset'
