CCP would sell out to whomever if it got them some money. Why should we care if it's this company or another.

How much money you got? Is this an offer? I've got a quill and inkwell handy.

btw, when the hell did people start refering to the forum tantrum as a revolution, ffs you are embarrassing yourselves

The correct term is riot and/or protest. Characterizing justified consumer anger as a “tantrum” is childish, myopic and a dead on arrival attempt at deprecation.

You have already sold out. You have no idea, or memory, of what Eve once was.

This is, by FAR, the worst decision CCP has ever made. Korea's MMO pimp is very good at taking games and whoring them out like prostitutes. Nexon has refined to a science the art of maximizing profits while minimizing losses with no regard to the players or companies that develop the games. They are the masters of the play2win model, and do not waste money on unprofitable activities like customer service or deterring hackers. They subcontract out the latter to Ahn, the failures who make the easily bypassed Hackshield.

Recently everyone's been up in arms about MT but when I checked it out it was just (overpriced) vanity items, nothing that affected the game. This "strategic partnership" will result in a very swift change from that harmless, non-gameplay affecting system. Why? Because Nexon is the king of MT, and when Nexon gets a game, it uses MT, and the most profitable items to sell are the ones that give players the most power. I fully expect to see in the NEX NX store boosters which increase skill training speed, faction ammo, and ships that the winners of Alliance Tournaments receive. Go to the Mabinogi webpage, replace "Thunder Dragon" and "Fire Dragon" with "Raven State Issue" and "Armageddon Imperial Issue" and you'll see what the future holds for EVE Online.

I don't think you understand that Nexon is purely handling regional marketing, and a Japanese translation of the current EVE client. Do you want a tinfoil hat for isk or are you buying yours from the AUR store?

We kicked a Jap Alliance out of its WH home this weekend, we got over 5bil in loot which is alot considering they self-destructed more than 80% of their ships, including thier carriers.

It was so bad for them they started self-destructing their pods, like a modern day seppuku.

So when we saw this new press release one of my members was like '****...the japs we removed have called a CTA'

Uh yeah CCP is still managing the game. Nexon is just publishing it to the Japanese market and handling the localization. We won't be using NX to buy golden ammo in Dust, we'll be using Aurum. It's one market that CCP decided to tap into, no huge company merger, no conspiracy for MT, its just one company letting another company market to the people they know best.
Why didn't the pick a more reputable company then?

Nexon is an awful company.

Vindictus still hasn't had a EU release despite being announced like over a year ago and despite the fact that the US version has been out for a long time. Plus they actively enforce a non-proxy system so that anyone outside the US cannot play Vindictus. Nexon are money grabbing *****s and the *only* thing they care about is MT's, yet they are also incredibly stupid by blocking 3/4 the world from their (currently) most popular online game.

Bad move CCP.

As long as they're not developing EVE, I don't care.

Good luck CCP I hope you guys make monies :)

Just don't break EVE. We love this game and are passionate about it. Make something new with Nexon and market that with them.

IMO, make a fantasy MMO similar to how EVE is where you train up swords/daggers/robes wtf ever as sp and use their marketing schemes etc.

It is surprising to see that people are not as concerned about this as they should be, while CCP are terrible for releasing content and then abandoning it to create new shinny's Nexon on the other hand are terrible for doing it with entire games.

Nexon pump out two games or so a year (more in some instances) then put them life support to concentrate on the next years games. I wonder if CCP needing more funding to finish their projects and that's why they are jumping into bed with Nexon.

That's so nice you have those things but you lack something important which is actual authority to do anything. Remember your words represent CCP's public face, do they want some admin troll to be their public face. Last I checked trolls are horrible creatures.

I do want to say that I do not believe that CCP will be allowing Nexon
any game control at all. Just allowing Nexon to make $$$ for subs that
they bring in to ≡v≡ through Nexon.

I do think it possible that golden ammo through NX for Dust 514.
But then again, CCP would not want to share $$$ and would just make
their own isk money game cards like Nexon with their NX.

I just do not want to see CCP become big on making money and not
fixing/improving ≡v≡.

Thank you all for your thoughts and view points

When we get our first golden ammo, CCP will reply-

(Nexon controls the micro department, and has decided it is in the best interest of the game to add such features, and we fully support there effort. But we still stand by our promise, and CCP will not directly add any such features to the game. The golden ammo is a Nexon product, and has no connection to CCP)

I don't think its a bad partnership - new players are new players, and the japanese community is quite active usually. It WILL provide a larger playerbase that supports micro-transactions, as well as players that support 'gold ammo' (game-altering MT).

If players have any sense at all, a Jita Blockade won't happen again - they just won't return at all.
Demonstrations, much like apologies, are usually only good for one use. Afterwards...well, human history answers that.

Fly Safe CCP.
