I was in the system Deltole, which is a 0.5 sec system. When I un-docked I was given no warning that one normally receives when you enter space were you are shot on sight. After warping to a moon a group of Rodenship yard npc's showed up and attacked me. My sec status is above -5.0 currently -4.94, and I am in a .5 system, so there should have been no attacks on me from npcs right? Any idea why they attacked?

Sec status only affects Concord.

What is your standing to the corporation that attacked you.

My worst standing with an empire is with the minmatar and its only -1.3 or so. The ships that attacked me were Rodenship yard npcs, which as far as I know are like galentie police.

Are you sure you didn't jump into highsec from lowsec with an active GCC?

Positive. I've been in null grinding my sec up and have not shot anyone for ages with this character.

Players with -2.0 or worse will be attacked in 1.0 systems
Players with -2.5 or worse will be attacked in 0.9 systems
Players with -3.0 or worse will be attacked in 0.8 systems
Players with -3.5 or worse will be attacked in 0.7 systems
Players with -4.0 or worse will be attacked in 0.6 systems
Players with -4.5 or worse will be attacked in 0.5 systems

Dont think concord interveins, only gateguns and theres some kind of navy patrols. Dont remember exactly. But anyways you were shoot on sight with your sec status. And you dont get a warning for low sec status, atleast ive never gotten one.

Ah, for some reason I thought It was -5 and worse was attacked in .5 space, thanks for clearing that up.

Just to complete the picture, at -5.0 you become an outlaw. i.e. you are permanently red and can be attacked without CONCORD stomping on those who do.

Completely wrong btw. It is faction navies that hunt you if you are an outlaw and jump into hi sec. Concord only cares about GCC (unless you jump into concord sov space where concord IS the navy, which is nasty).

When you jump into a system with too low a sec status (someone posted the levels above) a message flashes up saying criminals will not be tolrated in the amarr empire or whatever and will be shot on sight. A bunch of navy npc ships then spawn at the gate or station and web/jam/shoot you. They do not warp scramble, and do not insta-lock, so in a fast ship you can avoid them when traveling through system, and even in a slow ship you can tank long enough to get out (not to actually do anything though as they follow you).

If you are below -5.0 a player will probably scramble you and laugh as the navy kills you though.

This mechanic is entirely separate from being concorded.

This happened to me before in Dodixie... I had a 1.95 sec status and get concordokened. Sent a mail to ccp right away and was reimbursed my CNR. However, the killmail is still haunting my record. Sucks to suck I guess. Confused
