Do you think CCP tracks us, the forum users, in our game and stuff to find out what the forum people are?

Most definitely. Then they add chems into your drinking water and activate their stealth mindray suborbital gun to alter your opinions. That is why all this fanboi forum postings appeared during the last 2 days.

There is only 1 way to counter this: A triple folded hat from tinfoil that protects your cranial regions from the mind altering beam.

Undoubtedly I know for a fact I am being tracked, and I will be used as an example against the CSM. Because I have continued to provide forum content, after promised to let my freighter alt die.

Clearly I enjoy the best content CCP has ever produced.. the forums =P

Even if they do does it mater?

Don't say on a forum what you wouldn't say to someones face, don't be abusive, try to be constructive and you wont have any problems at all.

go off on a rant and thats when you'll get into trouble

Yep.. there's a little micro-chip embedded in every ISK you own....planetary satellites and stargate scanners can find you anywhere, anytime.

Given their inability to provide a half sensible search function I think that you credit them with a level of sophistication that isnt deserved.

What do you mean 'track'? You're postin under your account name which is typically connected to your paypal account, credit card etc.

They don't need to 'track'. They know.

While they undoubtably can, I doubt that they do.

I mean seriously, why should they bother? It's hard to imagine that they could gain anything from it. Let's not be paranoid OK?

I'd be surprised if they didn't, and frankly I think they have every right to. I don't think they are checking chats etc., but definitely time online, activities, forum activity, etc. Oh and probably not on everyone, just some reference group.

now i'm getting a little worried. I don't know the Icelandic Data Protection Act., but in most EU contries it's clearly defined what they are allowed to store. Question would be the relation between account and characters I guess. It's probably possible to get a written report of everything they have on you for a modest fee ~$5, but as I said I don't know the details.

Of course they do. EA did it and found out that forum posters where a small vocal minority that had no problem to open their wallets to P2W when it was released. I am sure that CCP would like to confirm similar findings in EVE. And maybe they will.
