far far less important than game balance IMHO, after all it was just a measure to combat EBAY not a game feature

only if they make it cost a plex for a month of training, else it just gives an advantage to produce for the character bazaar

For instance, if we had to pay extra for extra character slot, versus, buying Flaming Sword of +2.

The problem is, feeling like, i just lost a fight because that guy paid a quick fee. I.e. he just paid to win against me. i.e. He just paid for me to loose.

Whats the point of playing Chess, if the other guy can just buy Queens, and pay money to change the way his Bishops move. Its stupid. It destroys the whole aspect of "game".

It capitalizes on the fear of loosing, and monetizes cheating.

that is absolutely bang on, "monetized cheating" +1 internets

no... cause ppl can allready make more then one account, while only one char can be logged in per account .. nothing would change.

not to mention ppl can allready buy trained chars, this however would allow to train your own chars / alts up faster.

i'd go so far that this would even cater the newer ppl to the game and allow them, for a fee, to catch up training wise.

will CCP get more money if it provides option to train multi chars for money?

I hope there is something like the option to pay 1.5X sub to train 2 characters and 2X for 3(reason for the discount will be 1:chars cannot get online at same time.2:no extra serve burden).

will you like this idea and eventually pay more to ccp?I mean will this cause you train more chars(+0.5 sub each) or will this cause you stop your current alts(-1 sub each) because you don't need to use them at same time?

me +0.5 sub

Yeah I like this idea, makes sense and could be quite tasty, in fact I would take advantage of this if it ever came to be.
At least with this you don't get some rich snot having it all from day 1.

No.

CCP is many things, but they are not dumb enough to shoot themselves in the Wallet...

They got rid of "ghost training" a couple of years ago to prevent EXACTLY this kind of crap from affecting their Sub revenues.

just that ghost training was "free" while that time they cash in on the extra training

I want to see this feature but I'm not sure if I really need it for x1.5 price (alt on another account is more useful).

yes this would be more a thing for alts "not worth their own full account"

Tbh if this was just after I started with EVE I would have said hell yes. It can be nightmare best of times starting out in game such as EVE. Having an alt with different skills etc can be hell of a handy even on same account.

I'd pay a little for multiple training, but it's the kind of thing with a narrow margin for useufullness vs cost. I can buy a plex and get X ISK or break even on a 2nd account for it... so as others have said there's no point if I don't make more ISK with the other character or don't get as much as a 2nd account would offer.

If it was cheap like +$1/mo per character, I'd definitely train three at a time. If it's not real cheap and real easy, I wouldn't bother and I'd still with my one main.

I would pay more for something like that but I think the better idea would be an upgradable character slot for Aurum.

I would pay 1.5 the current rate (22.50est) to have a second character skilling on the same account, no doubt about it. As a humble indie player, basically a miner, having a second char skilling purely for combat to help in alliance ops would be very desirable, especially if I didn't need a second full account to manage.

Additionally, if they could work it so the toons shared asset access, same hangers, station container access, CQs, etc. that would be impossible to say no to. It would be a nice streamlining of user client experience meaning less time wasted on personal intra account logistics and more time on actual enjoyment and fun!

No : it's more interesting (for CCP) if you create another account (1 PLEX), raise your toon (several PLEX) then transfer (2 PLEX) it to your main account when it's done.

That's ok with me.

+1 for this option OR better yet sub increase of 5 per month but allowed to train all 3 characters on my account at the same time

People may take this as a RABBLE RABBLE RABBLE rant, but I'd rather see EvE switch to the way PO does their skill training. Clearly PO is based off a lot of EvE features, and they retain skill training over time, but it's done a little differently there though. In a nutshell, your account accrues points, which can then be spent on skills for any of your characters on that account. The point cost to advance a skill is influenced by your individual character's statistics, so the rate of skill point acquisition is static.

It's a rather interesting take on the training over time thing, in my opinion. It eliminates the 'train only one character at a time' constraint somewhat, while completely obsoleting skill training queues. In EvE, it would also remove some of the SP disparity between those who can safely sit in +5 implants 24/7 and those who have to worry about being podded on a day to day basis.

This is the reason it should be 1:1.

What could be done is be able to train skills on all your character slots and just have it consume double/triple if you have double/tripple train queue's. It would basically be the same as having multiple accounts that way, it's an easy money sink and great for certain types of alts.

But if you can get a training time:isk/plex/money advantage (which you btw get on new accounts?) it will be abused and it's basically a training speed booster.

It's far more likely that training will remain the same (1 char per account) and that a future MT will allow you to "buy" skillpoints or skills and then you can just put the skills onto any character/alt you like.

Since CCP is already moving (rapidly) into the MT business... then Skills become an attractive product to sell to those who wish to expedite their "careers" in EvE.

Hypothetically, at least, I suspect this is far more attractive to CCP as a revenue source, than letting folks train multiple chars on the same account.

Time will tell.

There's a lorra people saying CCP would not agree to this for one daft reason or another, but what it boils down to is the same old yarn. 'money and greed killed the game'

actually this could be a fantastic idea.. just what CCP need, CCP THIS is WHY you need to LISTEN to US when concidering extra revenue creation.. if your in trouble LET US HELP YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We want to!

Feedback: Well i have 3 subs used to have 6 i cut down because i stopped working (yep i got layed off) Crying or Very sad but i get to play more eve hehe Laughing but i have to say that if i was givin the option to train an extra character on the same account i probably would just move my current alts onto my main account so.. looking at this while it is a good effort to the thought and ideology i can see ur trying to find ways and fair play to you mate.. but ime afraid to say but this idea will NOT WORK.. as a result, it would just mean people would exploit this idea if it where ever to go live. It is just Human Nature to want more for less. Or wait is that just Greed? Yeah greed. But i am sure there is something they can do around this area to create extra revenue.

Don't worry btw people, so far it is a small bunch of ego driven p!icks at CCP HQ making all the decisions and the little people in CCP HQ find themselves powerless to a great extent. It WILL/IS going to change.

This is not the case, if CCP where to 'sell' the actual training/time req for skillz in exchange for real money it would soon find itself bankrupt due to lack of interest in the game.

don't agree with OP idea. Yes it would be nice for many people in Eve (for me too).

However it looks like removal of learning skills: makes Eve easier and stupidier. Removes some kind of strategy.

As was with learning skills: you have had to choose between "now" and "later". Get skill now (and spend more time in general) or train learning skill (wait for result longer but then train skills faster).

And with chars on one account: you have to choose between training "main char" and "useful second char". Or use alts and pay for them.

The same was with NPC agent quality levels removal (which i don't support too).

I really don't want to have Eve simplier and stupidier more and more.....

Bull****. If they can charge the equivalent of $75-$80 US for a useless (no game play effect, it just looks cool) monocle, how much do you think people will be happy to pay for Skills/Skillpoints?

You underestimate the power of greed, and the competitive nature of gamers.

CCP will make huge profits...and then just keep rolling out the goodies (every month? every expansion?) to keep those profits rolling in.

GREED IS GOOD ! YARRRR!!

I see what you're getting at but you've missed the point. If you look at the broad picture you'll notice "cheating" happens EVERYWHERE. From sports, to markets, to marriages, to education, and no surprise: video games. One has to ask if this is really cheating, or is it human nature. Gaining an (un)fair advantage over you're competitors is the nature of the game. (it has been since the start) Fairness is subjective and changes with the wind. Once CCP decided to introduce PLEX for real money they changed what was once cheating to fair. What was once considered "against the nature of the game" became part of it. This opened the gates to what ever else people were willing to pay real money for to "enhance" their game play.

By definition it isn't cheating if it's offered by CCP

If it's offered by CCP that doesn't make it fair, but neither does having 6 accounts and the time to play 18 hours a day. There's no way the average player will ever have a fair chance against the hardcore gamer in any game.

They've long since capitalized on the fear of losing by cashing in on the need for people to have multiple accounts.

Honestly, I feel ripped off that I can't train more than 1 character on an account for the subscription fee I pay every month. The addition of MT's on top of the subscription fee makes me really want to go play a different game and support a respectable company instead of the CCP greed factory.

Free to play with MT's, or subscription fee with no MT's. Both? Go **** yourselves you greedy bastards.
