As a parting shot, LulzSec released a grab-bag of documents and login information apparently gleaned from gaming websites and corporate servers.

If you haven't changed your passwords yet, now may be a good time.

Just in case.

I'm assuming thanks to CCP's quick response and shutting down the cluster, you need not worry about this

Considering all they did was DDOS our loginservers, to which CCP basically cut all connection to the outside world during.

You'll have to worry if you were dumb enough to use the same password everywhere else (including sony/ps3)

DDOS attacks are frequently used as cover for doing other things. Shutting down the servers was absolutely the correct way of dealing with the problem.

LOL. "In the news today, lulz attempted to hack into CCP's online game Eve, only to find that CCP had attacked them back and melted their machines."

We could need an attack from lulz now more then ever. More pressure on CCP at the current situation = win for us.

Never said it was a bad thing to do, merely implied that they'd have to be several orders of magnitude better than they are (not to say they aren't decent hackers) to have gotten anything before CCP chopped the pipes.

Whatever the answer and proper response to this situation, it most certainly is NOT cyber retaliation.

It's an immature comment at best.
