No matter what you (CPP) say to save face today/tomorrow/monday/next week, it will be very hard as a person who has ever been lied, to believe you are not telling me a tall tale again.
You can do things poorly and people will support you. You may make huge errors and people will still believe in your vision. You violate their trust and you lose that faith and support you've spent so much time building.
You can state FEARLESS, is to catalyze discussions on controversial topics, until you are blue in the face. I don't believe you, I am pretty sure I am not the only one. If you were NEVER going to incorporate MTs in this game for goods, you would NEVER waste the time on the discussion when there are other pressing needs. And, that newsletter does not read as pure discussion of a controversial topic, it reads as, "OK, how do we do this?"
There are a variety of other issues, with this patch, with the tone of your internal documents that I find troubling. Most importantly though, is how do I trust you? How do I know you are not lying to me, to buy time and my subscription fees until your are ready to go ahead with MTs anyway? How can I believe you will address performance and balance issues? How do I believe you will follow through with this great vision for your game, that has sold so many of us as much as the current gameplay itself?
I don't envy you, because it will be very hard for me to believe whatever you say, without drastic change. No matter what you say. I'll be reminded of a man being cornered by a dog, The man will say, "good doggy, good doggy," he will sound soft and calming and sincere. However, he is just trying to buy time as his hand searches for a stick he has every intention of using.
