If you live in the US and can't find the cancel sub or it is gone post up here and save screenshot.

One thing CCP can't do is get away with tweeking the cancel button to stop this flow. IRL I am an attorney in Atlanta and if enough people show cause I will send them a very nasty legal action letter to their Atlanta office which puts all CCP under US jurisdiction for their shenanigans.

Oh CCP if you delete this and try to stop people from showing your actions that is actionable too Very Happy along the lines of attempting to hide evidence. The logs will be subpoenaed to show this thread existed and who posted. If you removed that button you better put it back now and post up before a real legal **** storm hits you.

I wonder how many monocles you will pay your affiliate counsel here? Oh wait, they won't take fake hobby $80 monocles as paymentugh

Edit: send me an in-game mail too so I can keep track if you don't want to post here. If you live in GA (US) especially post up if this issue affects you.

It's not that it's gone. There is a "bug" that is preventing it from showing up in chrome or firefox. TBH I think it's rigged but couldn't really prove it. It shows up in IE though.

If it is a bug and CCP was made aware during their business hours and did nothing to correct it then they are engaging in unfair and deceptive business practices.

Just checked because with folks claiming issues I wanted to see what the truth was because I too know they cannot completely remove the ability to cancel legally but they can make it hard to find. What you need to do is when in account management click the game time tab to bring down drop down menu and lo and behold it says cancel subscription. Now whether this is working in all browsers or not I have no clue but if it works in one freely available browser then this is not an actionable issue. Perhaps you need to research before you start threatening legal action. I would hope they taught you this as well as how to control your anger and gut reactions when in law school.

Incarna may be what's wrong with Eve at the moment, but you're what's wrong with the US legal system. Frivolous lawsuits waste people's time.

Not supported.

Protip: The EULA will prevent you being all "heroic internet lawyer" and even if you could find something to sue CCP for, good luck trying to get a judge that won't laugh your ass back on the street.

So you are saying because this worked for you it is therefore 100% working for every single person and nobody has issues so the threads saying otherwise are lies? Nice logic there.

If it can work in one freely available browser is laughable. Let's take your claim to the logical conclusion. I accidentally "bug" the cancel button so that it will only appear in I.E. 6 SP 1. Never mind that only 2% of the internet uses that free browser, hey it works in one freely available browser so I'm good right?

What we're doing here is research since we are trying to identify 1) who could be affected by this issue; 2) is the button truly gone for that person (hence screen shots are important); 3) if so, what common theme do the people have that are having issues. Once you identify people with the issue and confirm the button is gone you can then see 1) what operating system, 2) what browser, 3) what version of browser, 4) how did they get to the account page (directly via type-in or linked there--this is important as "bugs" can appear via redirect).

Would you like me to explain anything else to you?

Well technically if a company was refusing to let you cancel a subscription and kept on billing you then there would be a case. (Obviously this isnt the case here of course)

EULA cannot shield yourself from intentional tortious conduct as it is against public policy (in the US) to attempt to contract away the right to file claims on tortious conduct. The only way you can contract those rights away is if you expressly set forth what tortious claims cannot be sued upon. Even then each state has a separate formula that must be adhered to when contracting those rights away. Ask Six Flags about it, they lost several large claims due to their version of EULA (back of ticket stub) in GA.

Also this is the legal field, there is more than one way to skin a cat. If there are true problems, and I mean people who are truly prevented from cancelling, then there is also the option of presenting to VISA/Mastercard the evidence and case. They have their own set of rules that all processors must comply and look down very hard on people being sneaky with credit card information.
