Has aneyone ever had a bunch of ships they needed to move that are all rigged and fitted and you need to move them over long distances to be pirfactly honist i have especially in my corperation we move alot so i was thinking that if ther was a ship that was spicificly ment to move ships would come in handy dont you so we have a standerd carrier that is actually helpfull but it cant go through stargates so it is useless in highsec so if they wher to take like a frieghter hull or jump frieghter even preferably a jump frieghter so you would have a jump drive but have a jump ship carrier and a non jump like frieghters and insted of a massive cargo bay it would have a massive ship mantinance bay or maby if ore came out with somthing so plese suport this im tired of going back and forth 20 jumps to get all my ships to 1 destonation

it's not a bad idiea but unfortunatly it would make that pilot a much biger target and the risk wouldn't benifit the cost

I think a large carrier would be a great idea... the only problem is that it would probably be one of those ships you can't fly until you've been in the game for like 5 years or something.

a corrier cntract and a frieghter would surve the perpose but i mean like a frieghter with a ship mantinance array insted of a cargo bay because correr contracts work with other people but what if you need to move your own ships

i didnt think about the bigger targret thing but in highsec you probly wont have to worrie about that as much and comon sence says that you would have some people escorting it but if ther was some mid slots and a cople lows you would be able to tank it

this game needs a better way to haul assembled ships

it should be able to :
- jump at least as fas as dreads can
- haul 4bs4bc6cruiser+10 frig/dest at once
- use gates
- dock

or just decrease battleships/bc m3

it is generally a frieghter but with a ship bay so i would think the the prerecs would be about the same as the frieghter but with one additional skill

thats why i chose the frieghter as the hull i think would be ideal or maby ore might be able to come out with a hull that is sleaker that could make longer ranged jumps but also i think ther should be one without a jump driveso people who are not in low or null sec dont have to train the jump skills

they should add other version of freighters(or a hangar door subsystem to the current freighters) so you don't have to play with contracts.

I've even thought about a tug ship - it pulls the other ships.
It's not as big as a freighter - since the other ships are on the outside it doesn't have to be(maybe use the rokh model - it already looks like a train locomotive) - it will probably be easy for ganking though.
To prevent that I'm thinking the whole train of ships should have a shield/armor that is the sum of its component ships' shield and armor or in other words - put 3-4 plated BS's in the train and you have 4-500 k EHP.

Of course technically it will be extremely difficult so it's a bad idea :(.

So yeah freighter/ship carrier seems like the best solution.

With incursions spawning in different regions I've had to move quite a few ships myself - my orca with my alt has 2 T3s and 2 logis in it and my main char flies a BS

the cpncept of a tug actually to me seems pritty cool but like you said it seems un effictive for me the reasons are gankers would be able to see the ships you are hauling with just a glance and i dont think that they would give us a special shield booster thing that protects the whole chain
but a foristfielf type of thing would be pritty cool to have or like a bubble shield

I use a titan. It fits most of my BS+BC. Then carriers for Cruiser and lower hulls.

yes the titan is good for big ships and the carriers fot the little ones but the point is a ship that can operate in highsec that can carrier a lot of ships not just a cople

+1 to this idea, a dedicated ship carrier (with or without a jump drive) would be awesome. Would like it at about 2.5 to 3 million meters of ship bay available.

like i keep saying it needs to function in highsec a super carrier will work in nullsec and lowsec also i would like ther to be 2 modles of it one with a jump drive one without it needs to be able to dock in stations and fit through a gate so maby a ship about the size of a stargate just the right size to fit through it with nothing but a ship mantanince bay big enough to carrie a bunch of ships without making several trips over long distances.

now everyone make note of this it needs to function in highsec so that rules out the titans and supercarriers and carriers and for all you smart asses the roquaracal or however it is spelled for those of you who care about spelling

I think a new ORE ship would be great. They could expand on the concepts practiced with the orca and rorqual to create a more general-purpose ship, with less functionality, but a very large hangar bay and a respectable cargo bay as well. There would be two tiers, one just small enough to use gates, and one large enough to have a jump drive. I imagine essentially an orca and rorqual, but with all mining-related bonuses and functions stripped out in favor of a very large hangar and cargo, with bonuses to those and jump distance or align speed or something. And hopefully in a sleek black color with gold trim or something.

They could keep their mining requirements, simply to help reinforce the industrial use over combat, and also to make them somewhat less attractive to use than, say, a freighter or carrier.

i didnt think of that a t2 orca just remove all the other bays and you would be able to fit atleast 1 battleship maby it was bigger in size take an orca hull make it bigger take out the ore bay and cargo bay and corp hanger bay make the ship bay alot bigger it could work
