Just to clarify CCP Zulu's Blog (No im not a fanboy, but i understand the written word, infact i have never even had a positive feeling towards him ....ever)

Regarding the leaked CCP internal newsletter :

Its ment as a mini platform to test new ideas BOTH good and bad, to clarify, they make theese news letters, to spark the kind of debacle/rage internally, that the EvE-Forums are experiencing now, to see what works and what does not, consider it used only on "control subjects", if any of you re-tards are familiar with that term. But when someone feels butthurt about something theese kind of leeks WILL happen.

Anything taken out of context will allways **** you over, take a step back take a deeb breath, and think, the EvE community has always promoted itself as being THE most intelligent MMO(RP)G Community..... in the world (yes that was a Clarkson impersonation), then USE that interlect. This bandwagon mentallity is so '09, also think about WHERE it was leaked, you know the biggest NC propaganda site EVER, sorry my bad the NC dont exist anymore

Finally calling the DevBlog fail is PROOF that you DONT read the Blogs and just want to pour gasoline on the fire. But i guess SOMEONE just want to see CCP crumble, LOOSING a RMT empire can be devestating both mentally and economicly.

If you dont understand theese words then i am happy to go over eac word and sentence in the DevBlog with you to clarify whats being said, and i DONT EVEN HAVE ENGLISH as my first language....... MORONS ........

We know they were bouncing ideas back and forth, kiddo. It's just we'd like it confirmed, in writing, that NO game-changing items will ever be sold by micro-transaction. Somehow, the released blog skated nicely around that issue. Why, I wonder?

I can understand you being easily confused and leaping to incorrect assumptions though.

Im fairly certain that his clarifies it, if you dont understnd theese lines, then god help Discovery Channel and their warnings.

Sorry "Painpill," but you are wrong. That little disclaimer does not wave away the truth, which is at this point screaming in everybody's face.

I seriously doubt any MT items would ever give a play an edge over another player; we pay a subsciption a.k.a. VIP access all areas.

2 golden rules they cannot break

1. They cannot 'magic' BPO/BPC items out of a cash shop.
2. Items cannot do more than pure vanity.

I like the idea of vanity items, it shows how rich (or poor) you are.

DUST on the other hand is a whole different kettle as they do not pay a sub.

I can assume that CCP will rename EVE to World of EVEcraft, make it F2P so everyone has 50 alts simultaneously mining, add pets and allow a /dance command to be entered.
But that will make me look like an idiot, because it isn't going to happen.

The bit your missing Painpill is that 12 months ago the issue of MT for game advantage came up. Across the board large numbers of players 20k+ actively worked to get the idea thrown away. CCP eventually backtracked and a blog was even written saying - its not in our plans.

Fast forward to now: on the release of MT for non game advantage items (vanity items) we find out CCP are discussing the idea of MT for game advantage.
The kickers:
CCP Soundwave saying players don't like it but we can still do it (read: we don't value our current player base - we value customers with more money)
CCP Soundwave saying Eve is the golden goose (read: we will spend money generated in Eve on other games, meaning we care little for the current imbalance and technical issues in eve)
CCP Zulu saying its just an inhouse corporate discussion. A discussion had 12 months ago and put to bed. (read we don't value our customers opinions we will ride them to make a quick buck)

From Escapist :

Quote:
Update: Things are rapidly going downhill for CCP. A leaked internal bulletin titled "Greed is Good" indicates that the developer will be extending its microtransactions to less-than-cosmetic items like spaceships and weaponry - things which would provide a tangible in-game advantage.

Another stellar example of internet journalism.

Okay, to clarify what CCP Zulu said, so even a child could understand :

They make theese "Newsletters" as "roleplaying" fictional events to start a major debacle on what needs to be done, AND WHAT DOSENT, it should not be so hard to understand. Remember its ment for interanl debacles ONLY. Just because some disgrunt CSM/CPP employee leaked it dosent mean that this a fact of policy.

Stop glancing the DevBlog and READ them.

Agreed, they are just spewing as much BS as the player base, can some one tell them that the "newsletter" is called "Greed is Good?" there is a huge difference between a statement and a hypothetical question, and is only distinguished be the question mark.

Someone in this community must really have an axe to grind against CCP, distorting facts and even the written word, to their pleasure, this BLOB mentallity really needs to stop, so NC sorry you lost your RMT empire, but dont ruin it for the rest of the players.

Yeah. I'm sure the opinions and views of the LEAD GAME DESIGNER have no chance of ever becoming policy.

It's not about what's written. It's about what is between the lines. Important players at CCP want this. The players for the most part don't. The question now is will they listen?

Painpill - if you believe that then you are dumber than most. CCP is in full damage control mode, so OF COURSE that's what any company would tell its customers in a situation like this. Do you believe EVERYTHING you read?? Rolling Eyes

You have literally plucked this out of the air - you have no real proof this is the case. If you are basing your assumptions on anything ccp say remember that this is a company that makes devblogs addressing our concerns over MT while at the same time continuing to plan for them - as well as have internal emails that basically say the customer basse should be milked for as much money as possible and that our opinions don't matter.

You need to take a lil of your own advice, that does not explicitly say they will not introduce MT for game changing items. It just says whats in the newsletter is not CCP policy. It was worded in a way that made lawyers shiver, answering the question without answering it. We want CCP to tell us clearly what their policy is regarding this. Its a simple question, and something they could clear up very very quickly. They so far are choosing not to.

But I'm sure that's all the fault of the paying customer as well right?

Well you have no REAL proof that this is what their longterm plan is. And could you please link thoose internal e-mails i would like to see them, because all i have seen so far, is a leaked "newsletter" that is ONLY ment to spark both creativity AND debates.

And if you DONT trust Zulu's devblog what do you trust? what is your endgame with theese comments? Why oh why are you even on theese forums? Is it just to pour more gasoline on the fire?

You do realize that "Greed is Good?" is a story about a fella that goes to prison because he screws over his customers right?

I mean, you do realize that right?

Wow people....

Wall Street, Gordon Gekko, any of that ring a bell?

Gekko has become a symbol in popular culture for unrestrained greed (with the signature line, "Greed, for lack of a better word, is good"), often in fields outside corporate finance.

Thanks.

It's pretty unbelievable that the EVE forum community is so dense they don't realize the OBVIOUS intent of that news letter, and why the people submitting to it were asked to portray such extreme points of view.

Now go the hell back and re-read the damn thing and actually try to understand what they were doing this time. Keeping in mind that even the title of the piece blatantly refers to the immorality and eventual consequences of being too greedy in your business practices.
