The answer is yes. There's no way a group of adults could read this forum and not understand that all the anger was about that issue. It's not able the pricing structure, it's not even about CQ, it's about MT for in-game advantages.

There are only two possible ways the blog could exclude an answer to this question:

1. They really don't get it because they lack the ability to read and comprehend the words on this forum
2. They intend to do this and just won't say so to avoid losing people and their money as long as possible, hoping that the anger will die down and people will accept it over time.

As much as a lot of you would love to say option 1, it's simply not plausible. These people are adults and they know how to read. They know exactly why we're mad, but refuse to change their course.

MT for in-game advantages are coming.

if you read the document it just an idea that soundwave is interested in
buying skills with aur is a very bad plan

buy anything else is a bogus argument as we can already MT with plex. If it the adult aprroch your on about then think strait and explain to me exactly how buying stuff with aur is any different from selling plex and buying stuff that way?

If you look at the blog long enough, you can see the faint outline of the middle finger sticking out from the page.Cool

1) someone had to rat/mission to get the isk for that plex, thats what it comes down to, evenif you are selling to an industrialist, he will be using isk originally generated by someone getting in a ship and ratting.

2) With the isk you have to buy of the market, which means someone built that ship or got that drop with AUR you don't so can insta spawn ships where ever you wish, camped in? No problem whack out the wallet and buy a NOBLE carrier! Can't do that with PLEX

It's what i sort of suspected from the beginning. Like the old parable of the boiled frog, they wanted to change things gradually instead of all at once so we wouldn't freak out. Only problem is, that leaked newsletter put the kibosh on that idea by laying everything bare.

If it was just stuff, that would be one thing. There are talks of buying standing and skillpoints as well. That's different than plex.

The argument that it's just something they're spitballing in the office went out the window the second they posted a condescending blog in response to hundreds of pages on the forum and thousands of pilots in game protesting the notion. Not addressing that leaves only the two options I presented in the OP

It was totally confirmed a while ago by CCP saying they didn't rule it out. This is corporate battleship for yes, that's the plan.

Ok so the Isk generated is from an industrialist or ratter or whatever in game so please explain how this is going to effect game play? The people getting hurt buy this most would be the people that do it at a massive rate so it would only really affect RMTers and botters.
How is that a bad idea?

Exactly. As I said in the official blog response soon-to-be-threadnaught, I hope that in 6months-a year's time people are enjoying flying around in their $1000 cash shop only super-ships firing solid gold ammunition at each other, but I certainly won't be among them.

its been obvious for a long time that CCP placed no value at all on the dollars and loyalty of their subscribers

the openly mock and belittle people with serious questions on the forums at every turn

if you can read between the lines, this has been coming for a long time. even if you can't, you should be able to see it now

Stop treating us like idiots CCP. Tell us the truth, in the face, fair and square.

By the way, Star Wars Galaxies announced that they will shut down servers the end of this year.

RIP SWG. RIP EVE.

So, if they start selling Cerebral Accelerators in the NEX, is that an issue? In case you don't want to log in to check, here is the item's description:

"Cerebral accelerators are military-grade implants that significantly increase a new pilot's skill development. This technology is usually available only to naval officers, but CONCORD has authorized the release of a small number to particularly promising freelance capsuleers.

"This implant primes the brain's neural pathways and hippocampus, making it much more receptive to intensive remapping. This allows new capsuleers to more rapidly absorb information of all kinds, and as a bonus also enhanced spatial processing abilities that are critical for weapons handling.

"The only drawback to this implant is that capsuleer training renders it ineffective after a while; as such, it will cease to function for pilots who have been registered for more than 35 days.

"Bonuses: +3 to all attributes; +20% Damage to Laser, Projectile and Hybrid weaponry; +20% Rate of Fire to Missile weaponry."

I rushed home from work to join the amazing Jita protests but I won't now. My hope has been crushed. I'm glad i went to fanfest because it was awesome when I didn't know it was all a lie. I certainly won't be going again. And will un-sub my 2 extra hulks. Being maxed hulk miner is no longer important to me: soon they will charge money for Veldnaught clones and every kid with a rich uncle with have one!

What is this selling in-game identity thing getting you now when it makes me lose value in my eve identity at the mere suggestion of paying RL money for it?

The dev blog didn't answer the main question - will there be a game influencing items in the NOBLE shop. The fact that CCP are avoiding by all means a clear answer on this, they most likely intend to spread the MT to actual "power" items.
That's too bad. I can live with Dust and I can live with Incarna (CQ are not that bad). But I will not be paying my subscription if CCP decides that "Greed is Good" and opens a full blown MT shop with ships ammo and modules. You know, there are other MT games, but they are usually F2P and don't brag about their uniqueness, sandbox and player driven economy. WoT in space on top of the monthly fee will not work!

P.S. And to find a comparison between a RL designer clothes and pixels in a Dev Blog? Are you serious ffs?

Yea, the OP is spot on. That's exactly how I read it too.

What a crappy week for me and software. My two favorite programs I use everyday, Final Cut Pro and EVE, just told me to **** off.

It's like my computer is breaking up with me.

Sorry man, not trying to be a downer, just how I see things. Even with this happening, I still intend to participate in the protests, if only so I can make CCP's life harder by crashing out their market hubs.

You sound like you have the answer all figured out in your head and are asking rhetorically as if there is no good answer.

If you can buy ammo from the aur store instead of me, what the **** am I playing EvE for?. I learned mining for what? I learned industry for what? I learned the fine art of missioning to get my standings and LP for what? So CCP can ****ing undercut me with items magically produced out of thin air? **** that. That is so ****ing greedy and ignorant its not even funny.

People get on here and dis WoW constantly. I have no idea what the metagame is like now, but when I played you choose a profession based on how much money you could make. The only class who was using their own **** endgame was enchanter. R E T A R D E D.

Heres an idea CCP. Charge arum to fight Illidan, and make the drops soulbind. Make them more powerful than anything players can build.

Don't even bother putting him in a spaceship, just have him floating in space. That's your style.
