...wait for the rage to die down, start locking/deleting threads, and then spam devblogs about other Incarna content to smother the discontent. They've done this before during previous PR flareups.

Don't let this happen, ladies and gentlemen. CCP needs to be held accountable for this clusterf*ck.

Keep asking the hard questions, keep the pressure on. Do NOT settle for a half-arse answer like "We're working on it". Demand specifics. Demand a solid policy. Push them to work for your respect.

That is all.

They're already deleting and locking a lot of trash here, which is good.

Trash, yes. I'm talking about the threadnoughts that express legitimate concerns about computer performance in CQ, and most laughably, the Noble Exchange (NEX) system.

They are going to lock and delete those threads in due time, once the anger, rage, and flames die down. Then they'll, as I said, start smothering the dissent with distractions.

I want accountability from CCP. I want to know who thought it was a brilliant idea to charge $80 for a monocle, and $15 for a single jacket. I want to know who made that decision and pushed it through.

I want answers. If the EVE community does not step up to keep the pressure on well past the first week, then that will just validate CCP's perspective that the community is a bunch of idiots whose wallets are wide open for fleecing.

I don't know about anyone else, but official CCP comment to any of the threads in here appears to be a bit thin on the ground at the moment. You don't think they might be posting instead, under the guise of regular players do you?

If that's the case, that's very disingenuous of them to do. It shows a lack of integrity on their part.

And I don't like giving my money to people whose integrity do not deserve it.

Fantastic Image. I would have quoted but its table breaking and posting that breaks tables is against the eula.

To the op CCP will:
1. Do nothing for about 3 days.
(to see how quickly this will die down)
2. Close all the small threads on the issues - please do not post duplicate threads on same issues clause.
(minimise the issue to 4 threads on the forum)
3. Find reasons to temp ban the most outspoken of the forum warriors from forum posting.
(bans such as, spamming, trolling, inappropriate language, table breaking, multi-quoting, avoiding language filters etc are selectively enforced - oh yeah and commenting on moderation policy lol)
4. Ninja delete posts from threads after the posters have posting privileges removed.
(ensuring no right of reply)
5. Post placating dev-blogs from minor ccp employees that promise much in the future.
6. Release a patch that corrects 2/5 of the issues noted.
7. Claim there were never any issues and that the initial release was a success.

They're actually being extra nice with the moderation. They probably know
trying to shut it down too hard will only incite more rage.

In my opinion the forum team shows its professionalism here more than any
other part of CCP right now. It's the management that's to blame for the
horrendous expectation management (rather lack of) and not being able to
put up a reasonable response in several days time. Normal CCP employees
can't even come out to the forums because their management let's them down.
That's at least how it looks to me.

Which is the point of this thread. I want everyone to not let them have a victory like that. Because if we let these issues slide, even in the slightest, they win.

And we, the gamers of EVE, will become the eternal laughingstock of the entire gaming world.

You know that "Playing Curve" image depicting the insanity of EVE? Instead of it being the playing curve now, put the rich podders on top and the poor hanging by the noose.

Screw that. CCP really blew it this time.

I play Team Fortress 2. The gamers I spoke to there said, "Oh, so you're playing the $80 monocle game."

Well, that's not a nice label...

Isn't this the job of the CSM - to be the voice of the player?

Sadly i think you are right. They would have anticipated this reaction and they will just wait for the thread to die down. I hope the CSM do do something so that the players and CCP can reach an understanding.

When you're laughed at by Valve customers for spending money on useless items in a game, you're doing something very wrong.

If they feel that valid feedback from their current players is trash then that really says something about CCP.
