Ok, i'm going to open an old issue but it would be good to have a clear CCP response.
1) 2 months ago i was in Hagilur gatecamping as usual, we were 12 on the gate and spent like 1/2h dropping cans on the gate as fast as every1 could. We killed many ships not cause of cans but then in the middle of many kills we get a viator with nice goodies dropped...
Not more than 5m after we see a ccp guy enter local and delete all our cans.
When asked why response is: some1 petitioned cause the cans were causing lag and he lost the viator cause of that.... rofl a system with like 15 people and like 50 cans on gate.
2) 1 year ago i was in fountain fighting goons in epic 800+ pilots fleet fights. Goons enter system and do what they do best - unstopable posting in local with max text each pilot and all the known goonies tacktics to cause lag when they need to fight. Where was ccp then? Can the people that lost a ship cause of lag petition about it? I did and ccp didnt do squat.
Can ccp reply and not with an alt that is goon affiliated?
Or should i just write here what we know about the relations between ccp and goons and others and their effect on game? |

Please list the names of the Goons involved in such dishonourable behavior to your nearest Goon diplomat. Such things are not tolerated in our honourable pee vee pee nullsec space alliance. |

Who are you to talk about anything? Go scam people 100m cause that is the only thing you guys seem to know about. Or even drop +300 shuttles to the system you wanna defend cause every1 knows that a +300 shuttle fleet without pilots on some pos are going to scare a enemy attack..... You can fool many cause we all know americans are #$"% but dont think people on the other side of the ocean are as stupid as yous. |

So cans on gate is exploit that cause no lag - 600 people typing in local without stopping when the timer on pos is comming up is not.... You dont need to say anything more... |

Believe it or not, I've got an appreciation for players like Goonswarm, yes they are asshats a lot of the time, yes they break the game, but that's a good thing because it means they can find out where the exploits, bugs and glitches are that most other players wouldn't find.
If I ever make a game will you guys be my beta testers? :D |

1) Dropping dozens of cans around a gate is an exploit and you know that. 2) How is posting in local producing lag? Would it not also cause lag for the goons? |

Just to clear up a common misconception:
- There is nothing wrong with dropping cans at a gate or anywhere else. It is not an exploit in itself.
- Purposely creating lag in order to gain an unfair advantage over an opponant IS an exploit.
- It just so happens that dropping 50 cans/ bubbles/ probes at a gate will create the necessary amount of said lag.
So if you apply the above logic, I'm sure you'll be able to answer the question: "Is what I'm doing bad??"
