For the love of all that is good, please roll back turret icons to the previous hand drawn versions. New automatically generated icons from 3D models are horrid.

The actual turret models and firing animations are awesome though, good job there.

On the subject of change, I wouldnt mind those icons to be refined a little bit. The new design isnt bad itself, they are just too hard to tell apart.

On low settings I agree that the models look bad, but if you turn everything up all the way the turret models look really sharp. You guys did a good job with this for Incarnia.

the new models look great, Although I do miss the old turret hardpoint placement on some ships. My ranis looks a little weird now. ~_~;;

Oh, one thing tho, ccp needs to add an outline or neutral color background to the turret icon on the target bar. In a lot of systems where the space is dark it can be REALLY hard to tell which targets my guns are firing on.

excellent link! says it all. and if you absolutely have to go for new icons with higher details, make them crisp not washed out like they are now.

Change is good, I like change, but not when things get worse.

With new icons, it's very difficult to tell the difference between small/medium/large turrets, the type of turret, or even the difference between salvagers and tractor beams.

Also, they're all black and as others have already mentioned, very hard to see against black space.

New turrets look great, new icons are garbage. Please don't make this like the new cyno effect.
