Don't see how you need a $3k computer to run eve now. I paid barely 1k for mine THREE YEARS AGO, and I can run two clients no problem. Also the little I've played with incarna I haven't had any problems.
I mean sure it's useless but it's a first step in something so huge that bringing it all at once would be about as suicidal as you make this small expansion to be. |

Okay, the 3,000$ computer is a lie. Its actually 3,000 1$ calculators I bought from a gentleman named "Juan" on craigslist. For the past two years I have devoted my entire life and thousands of yards of solder to the ULTIMATE GOAL of running Eve on 3,000 solar powered calculators. My carbon footprint is so much smaller than yours right now, its ridiculous and your argument is invalid. |

I've seen much, much worse patches.
I played Dark age of Camelot from the day it came out and every patch and expansion just made it get worse. The game released with line of sight and pathing programming that should never have made it out of alpha. Being shot at through walls. Pets running off for no reason until they hit the end of the tether range and died, then all the aggro they pulled would run back to you, etc.
1st Expansion? New pet class for all three realms and new dungeons with the worst pathing yet, where bringing one of the new pet classes meant auto wipe if they summoned their pet. Including pets YOU COULD PLACE ANYWHERE that DID NOT MAKE the second half of a line of sight check. Nothing like assaulting a castle keep filled with magical plants that cast nukes on you from behind walls and you can't do anything but try to tank it all.
For PvP, all they had to do was MAKE REALLY THICK WALLS and their whole problem would go away. Real castles have ridiculously thick double stone walls filled in with dirt and crap anyway. If they made them big enough at the base AE spells wouldn't go far enough to go through a thick wall, pets couldn't run around them or have the range to cast through them if they were big, etc.
PvP revamp patch? New bigger castles WITH PAPER THIN WALLS YOU CAN STILL CAST AREA SPELLS RIGHT THROUGH.
No, sorry ladies, Incarna is obviously -clearly- (blatantly) a patch to introduce new tech that can be expanded on later. It's short sighted to judge it today.

Perhaps there might even be a pvp arena, like with pillars to hide behind and stuff, woop! woop!

Incarna is walking around your little jail cell in solitary confinement and the only thing you can do for entertainment is spend money on overpriced skirts, monocles and other clothing. Which costs more than the real things in the real world. As if you really ARE in a jail cell buying from a black market...
It is absolutely the worst expansion in the history of this game with the least content. And that is saying something because the last year has been full of FAIL!!! expansions. If they didn't force you into it when you dock at a station it would get no use at all.

FYI: CCP need a PLEX sink, AUR will drive prices up for PLEX... making them unattainable (we're talking 1bil a PLEX here) for most players on a monthly basis... people will be forced to buy plex with real cash or cancel subs. |

Gotta agree with the topic...it is indeed the worst excuse for an expansion. Useless crap that does nothing but bog your machine down. And really, who's gonna drop 3x PLEX for an eye piece?

I agree with you completely! It would appear you and I are cut from the same cloth, so to speak. But you have neglected to mention the absolute, most terrible, knife-in-the-dark, customer-f***ing aspect of this expansion, which, just like all the other pieces of volcanic, atmosphere-clouding, sh*t-spray that CCP fires into the atmosphere of my player experience and has the audacity to call "expansions", has completely ruined EVE forever; consigned it to a death bed while they drain their loyal player's coffers and stuff cash into the pockets of their unfashionable corduroys with their pale little nordic hands, like so many vile oncologists, profiting off the suffering of others. That disgusting, bankrupting aspect of this wretched abortion they call Incarna is of course, my noble, wise, magnanimous friend, the price tag that they stamped on it. What kind of vile, pilfering, rapists could do.....
