I had high expectations. I expected maybe the graphics would be a bit more refined than what was on SiSi. My avatars all looked a bit **** in CQ compared to how they looked in the customization.

However, I decided to first look at the NeX store, and then...

I went to the couch, sat down, and watched TV, while opening a beer in real life.

My computer can handle it @40-50 FPS, and it loads fairly quick for me.

Suggestions:
- Turn off Phyically Simulated Hair and Clothing, It eats up CPU cycles with no visible difference.
- Turn off Resource Cache (under graphics). I noticed that CQ loaded significantly faster with that off.

Why the fuk do people think people turn it off because of performance? Its just utter ****e, I honestly would have more fun walking around my house.

LOL...That is the ONLY legitimate reason to turn it off. Yes, right now it isn't much to look at, but that is because this only the introduction of this expansion. This patch put the technology in place to bring you something like the Captain's Quarters.

- walked over to my ship and was impressed.
- was bummed at how my character looked.
- loved just watching tv for a bit.
- enjoyed the agent finder, although it needs improvements if it's going to compete with 3rd party ones. Like a region tab, info on research agents, etc.
- checked out the store, prices were a joke.
- went to do some missions to check out the turrets.

Really like this expansion, but wish it had more depth to it. I'm used to expansions taking me weeks to go through content, not two hours. I'm still learning from the PI expansion after a year of being out. Still having new experiences in wormholes every day. Don't think this is going to be the same. I'll be lucky if it holds my interest for the next few weeks.

I agree in spirit, but not necessarily. Back when ships had those silly engine trails, I turned them off because I thought they were silly (and ugly), not because they impacted my performance. I don't feel that way about Incarna, but I can't rule out that some people probably do.

Of course, in this case you get two each year, and they're free. Kind of adds up.

Striking avatar, by the way. Looks more High Elven than most High Elves in today's fantasy games. Roots aside.

Besides, if I want to play dress-up without paying through the nose for it, I'll just do it on SiSi since nobody else can see me anyways.

Walked around for two minutes, thought 'ok, been there, done that'. Ignored it after that, and I suspect that'll essentially be all I do with it.

Moving takes FAR too long anyway!

Undocked, flew a few jumps, bought a ship and redocked. Just the same as I did before incarna.

Load of fuss about nothing, I really cant understand the whiners. Biggest problem you have with threads like this is that a large percentage of the whine brigade use the forums, those that are really ungappy tend to unsub and **** off. Those that are happy with the game just get on with it.

I like the new stuff (2003 vet before anyone suggests all vets moan).

Yet to hear one legitimate moan about incarna, its the same old people moaning for the sake of it - give it two weeks and they will find something new to whinge about.

Carebear spotted, but HEY, as long as your lvl4 farming works right? we dont want 0.0 and everything else fixed.

**** off bk to wow, if you were a vet you would realise WTF CCP has done.

Haha! Brilliant. Nope, never "farmed" and spent most of my existance in low/null sec, spent time with quite a few big alliances in 0.0. In 8 years 0.0 has improved SIGNIFICANTLY. If you had the slightest idea what you were talking about you would acknowledge this. I take it you are one of these people that think that because you choose to spend your game time in 0.0 all the attention should be focused on you and your style of play?

And yes I am a vet and I remember how EVE used to be, you clearly dont.

The Noble Exchange prices are rather ludicrous, but that's my only complaint.

I quite enjoy it, lends some more character to... well your character. It serves no purpose other than immersion at the present time, which in my opinion is a perfectly valid reason for it to exist.
What people seem to forget is that this is only the first minor part of something much bigger, its not the finished product it is only a teaser. Might not be more than immersion fluff now but as the rest of the station environment gets implemented I think well see much more genuine usefulness out of the quarters, to the point where it will not be feasible to turn them off.

This.

Everything looked bad, so I turned up the graphics and then it looked slightly good. Needs more SSAO.
I was getting 30 FPS. It seems EVE doesn't support Crossfire Sad

So then I walked around a bit, towards my Maelstrom. I couldn't see it, so I was annoyed. However, it turns out that the BS was so big that it blotted out the hangar walls Laughing. That made me happier.
I clone jumped (Leaving my battleship to enter a pod should be rephrased, as I'm standing in CQ)
When walking back to CQ, I noticed the corp logo of the station above the balcony. Neat.

I checked the store and didn't see anything I like. Sad
However, on Sisi I saw things I'd love to buy. CCP are probably spacing out the clothing releases for polish, getting the most PLEX out of us, and to keep prices more stable (As demand will be lower)

Then I recustomised myself, PIed a bit, and logged off.
It was satisfactory Very Happy

What I do want is SSAO, Crossfire support and the other CQs!
