What is the longest downtime you can ever remember ?
If i recall correctly, the longest downtime i have ever known was when we had the new drone regions or around that time when eve was down till 2-4am the next day (14-16 hours) but has there ever been a longer one that i don't know about ? |

iirc there was a 2 day one back in the days, when we got awarded with 50,000 ISK as an apology for the extended downtime.

long time ago was for about a week or so maybe longer if i remember correct it was hardware problems |

Well there was this downtime that was ~12 billion BCE to 2003 CE... that was pretty much the longest EVE downtime ever. |

I remember being given skillpoints for one I think. Was a few days, possibly when Tranq caught on fire? |

My first expansion was from Revelations II to Trinity. I could be totally wrong, but I seem to (strongly) think that DT went on for right about 24 hours. Certainly nothing like what the old timers recall from the RMR days.
I remember having no concept of the "long skill in training" thing and being one of the new folks who constantly checked the forums over and over and over and over waiting for the "it's up" cry. I even think I pulled the truly noob move of complaining on the forums about "Why is it taking soooooo long?!" |

well that was way back in the day im sure. And if you adding in the inflation that "isnt happening" Im sure it would be a few million at least. |

Ha i bet that seemed like forever to you and especially Yoruichi kun's comment about it being offline for a weak, i don't think i was active when that happened, talk about eve withdrawal symptoms. |

The expected 10 hour DT for Tyrannis last June grew to a grand-total of 36.5 hours. Expecting a Redux myself.  |

I think with Cold War the update was initially so bad, the whole week almost everyone that logged in got 'blackholed'. That felt like the longest downtime ever, going from one 'stuck' petition to another, to another, to another... |

I don't remember Tyrannis being >24 hours.. I do remember Empyrean Age being around 24 hours. |

Just a few months ago we had an extended DT that lasted over 12 hours, I remember we got SP for that one! Can't remember how much tho :( |

Lol, seriously? That seems somewhat ridiculous. I'm not saying they should've given more, in my opinion, they should not reimburse anyone for any time lost but 50k ISK seems even worse than nothing, sounds more like they didn't know/couldn't think of any way to apologise. Longest DT I experienced was the one where we got some SP that we could distribute as we saw fit afterwards. |

probably not the same but while beta testing eve every new build seemed to take ages while it was sorted but then again us young eve addicts were already hooked by then....the real kicker was the skill wipe with every new beta |
