Assuming you have everything trained to level 5 (especially command center upgrades and planetary control), you plop down 5 planets which only harvest resources. On your sixth planet, preferrably a barren or terrestrial so that you can go further than level 3 products, you import all your stuff and manufacture and export manufactured goods.

Myself, I would not export P0 products. Too much bulk, refine to P1 first then export to your factory planet

What i would like to know is:

- are skills to 5 needed to make it profitable in terms as time investment vs isk
- is it possible to do the above in highsec

I have made some p1 items but found that all the work required nets about a mil a day when the finished product is sold on the market. Perhaps i am doing it wrong. Assuming that i have about an hour maybe two to spend on eve per day it seems that the standard industrial activities mining-buiding-trading net more isk.

so far its new an fun so i am willing to try it but it has been a net loss so far so what do you think?

- No. I manage fine with 3s and 4s. It's a modest income, but VERY little time investment. My main issue is coolant prices dropping like a rock, but it would cost me far more to completely restructure compared with eating the loss until I can move to nullsec.
- No. You need 0.4 nullsec at least for extraction. You can safely do factory stuff in highsec, but I'd prefer to haul smaller amounts of more expensive stuff out of low/null rather than have to use bulk carriers.

Of course, that's assuming you're selling on the markets. If you have a corp/alliance, they can basically provide a system to work in, security while you work, and buy the products off you if you're making what they want.
With PI, find a market, and exploit the hell out of it.

Don't bother, there is no profit in PI, it is riddled with MIMAF.
