As if millions of voices suddenly cried out in terror, and were suddenly silenced, only because CCP and their Nerf-Deathstar deemed their graphics buggy. Sometimes i hate CCP.

The planet with a 15-minute-day/night cycle

The oceanic gas planet

The shallow oceanic planet

The tectonically active oceanic planet

The green forest planet

The desert planet with jungle-poles

The atmospheric ice planet

Wow, those are pretty sweet planets, I've never seen any of those. Did CCP just remove those styles or are they just rare? I'm not sure exactly what you're saying.

If they removed the styles... that's a shame. The tectonically active ocean one is so cool!

why the hate, these look great.

Here's something I made about the shattered planets, might be worth a peek.

Unfortunately yes. All these images are from singularity, when CCP played around with the planets.

And yes, itīs a real shame.

oceanic gas, shallow oceanic, and tectonically active oceanic are the most beautiful things I've ever seen.

Is this "Barren temperate" then?

PI interface
View from moons orbit

These pics are from Traquility. I haven't done much PI so i dont know if this is normal...

Thatīs just a barren planet.

The thing is, when they first had the new planets on SiSi it accidentially mixed barren planets with the green colors of earthlike planets. While CCP thought this was a bug, i thought this was pretty cool and that it provided alot more diversification.

I whish CCP would bring mixed planet graphics back. If you do too, please support this thread.

I fully support this thread. Would be a nice twist to PI too, mixing resources.

All I see is a broken link to a picture of a shattered planet and a bunch of people saying it is pretty.

Thanks for the heads up. I checked it the other day before linking and it was working.

Will look for re-hosting

Wow, those planets look awesome.

Why CCP, why did you decide to remove them Sad

I often get a graphics bug when looking at a lava planet when doing PI which makes the planet look like a sun. The funny thing is, this "bug" produces a better looking sun than the suns ccp use hehe.

That's really cool... or should I say hot? Laughing

The coolest planet I saw on TQ was an Oceanic, but you could see craters underneath the water. Kind of like if a shallow sea enveloped Mars.

Wow, I was unaware that they had more planet styles during the testing of new planet graphics. These look really good and should be implemented some time down the road, maybe exclusive to wormholes like they have different star types.

Also, why have I not seen a temperate world with a standard white north and south pole yet? What is with that?Confused

Yeah, and the planets are still too damn small.

Wow these look stunning. Would be cool if the eve planets had such anomalies also, or stuff that randomly erupts from a planet.

Atm ccp failed with their goal to make every planet an aha-effect. Because each of the same type looks too identical.

Im sure the procedural generaror could support many more goodies that would make planets a lot more exciting to look at.
