i think they are right about one thing.

Well...I've always thought log off timers were always crappy....I think if more than say 2+ points are on the offlined ship...it should not be able to go anywhere. Offline align times should be increased so non agressed ships should be able to align and warp off or whatever quicker then pilot offlined.
If your caught....you should be caught. If your pointed by 2+ ships then self destructing should be a 50/50 chance due to warp disrupting screwing up your warp power which makes the most sense of destroying a ship that size.

smaller targets on super caps that have small sig radius and smaller amounts of hp.

Taking them down kill things like, speed, ability to warp, shield or armor resistances, ability to fire for a set time while it repairs itself, if ever.

The problem is the lack of an anti drone/fighter/fighter-bomber ship.

You make a subcap that can efficiently kill them you remove the teeth of supercaps and in the end it balances. Use a destroyer hull, make it so it can kill a fighter in 2-3 volleys etc and you can really change the dynamic.

Though I do agree for being only 2 levels above a normal carrier supercaps have to many hit points. titan earns its a bit by being a seperate skill but the supercap hp buff went perhaps to far.

no no, they can never be balanced. They need a new mechanic, fighting cap ships needs to just work differently. tweaking the stats again is just going to lead to another issue.

They should make caps more support then combat. But eh .. whatever. I dont really care anymore and I dislike standing on soap boxes.

The log off timer is one of the biggest reasons they dont die. If supercaps were persistent in space or if the "disconnect" mechanic itself was more graceful I think you'd see their numbers drop sharply.

if dreads log off only 30/40 odd will die? 60/70b?
so the cost of a dread fleet in cheaper?

1 super v 15 dreads... Gonna take a while but the dreads will win.

1 super isn't unbalanced or the problem. Having over 50 in a system is though. Supers were not designed to scale... they are supposed to be big, expensive super weapons (not cost effective), not the line ship for an alliance. Once you reach a certain amount of supercapitals, you can pretty much drop it on anything without fear of major losses. 15 dreads can take out a single titan/supercarrier sure, but is the answer to 50 supers 750 dreads? (The outcome in that scenario is soul-crushing lag causing all of the dreads to die because they can't get shots off while the titans destroy one dreadnaught each for every 8 minute doomsday)

i agree with what you say, the point i was making was in answer to these "experts" who actually are ******ed. As for supers in numbers, yeah it is a big problem, but how do you fix this without ruining it for the people who dont and cant field large amounrs (as you said they dont need to be rebalanced, they are fine, but the numbers of them is the real prob.)

we cant go back to the days of carriers camping stations, sitting in dock range without fear of dying if they agress.
