Below is an illustration of the not-so-common armour rr raven setup.

Features:
-1000dps
-77k ehp (if only it were just a little bit higher..)
-Painters, web, point etc. give plenty of ewar
-RR+nos or use two med neuts if you're not using rr fleets
-Extra flight of light ecm drones

One question: would it be ideal to swap one painter for a tracking disruptor to rain down even more ewar pain? Or do torps simply need two painters for anything sub-bs that's not heavily shield buffered (due to sig)?

Here's the setup..

Its kinda squishy dont you think?

77k ehp, crappy resists and the fact that any fc with a brain is going to primary you means you're gonna be going pop pretty sharpish.

Maybe drop a BCU for an EANM and swap one of the trimarks for an Explosive rig. That gives you 85k ehp and sorts your resists out a bit so that any RR you recieve might actually be worth something.

And yes, deffo fit 2x TP. It'll help massively against sub-BS and if you carry some rage torps around with you 2x TP will let you use them against BS for a decent damage boost over CN.

Agreed, it's pretty worthless without painters. Need at least 2 or 1 and appropriate rigs.

Unless you're planning only on killing BS. Even then Rage torps + painters can be more effective. Razz

Yea the ehp is a b!tch, dropping the bcu brings dps down to 863, which kinda sucks, though may be worth it to not kersplode instantly.

I'd proably keep the trimark over an explosive rig (higher ehp) as most hostiles wouldn't shoot explosive at you, they'd likely use EM which is this fits highest resist (by the time they figure out your armour tanked it will be too late to change ammo types e.g. for minmatar)

Yeah, as an apparent shield-tanker among armour BS, you're gonna get primaried. By that argument, dropping a trimark for an ACR so you can fit RR sounds suboptimal... at which point you can probably get away without a cap booster.

One painter is sensible for applying torp damage to BS fully. You can fit more, or fit tackle, but fitting a few TDs can significantly reduce incoming DPS. Up to you, really.

Hammerhead II x5

107k EHP, 712 DPS inc. drones. Each TD halves an enemy's optimal and falloff, so two will take MF range from ~20 km to ~6 km, or force a change to lower-DPS, EM-heavy Scorch. Smartbombs for damaging hostile drones, under the assumption that you're gonna get primaried - not much PG for anything else. You could do some small guns probably.

edit - oops, not enough cpu. use something named. or drop a smartie. or both. pfff.

Hmm interesting setup!

I'll probably go for a hybrid of this and the setup in the OP to balance dps, ewar, and ehp. (e.g. go for a damage mod, drop a eanm, use two td's, two tp's.. Still gets 96k ehp with no cpu issues this time... Either works..)
