Because I will not be spending a bajillion dollars to buy a PS3 so I can play a Pay-to-Win (yet "free") FPS on a network whose security has more holes in it than a block of Swiss cheese.

P.S. thanks for making an EVE expansion some time in the last two years that focused on spaceships, the central part of EVE.

Oh wait.

I would so love having two thousand ships to choose from, making the game horribly imbalanced...
I would so hate having more options to choose from, making the game greatly more dynamic.

Nice name, get a better computer.

EVE is a complete sandbox experience. Spaceships, which are correctly termed starships, are only one facet of that sandbox. Nobody is forcing you to buy a PS3 and play DUST 514, it's not crucial. And it has nothing to do with EVE Online, it will just connect to it in the end. You won't even feel it.

Wait, that came out wrong. Anyways, whether DUST 514 blossoms or dies, it will not impact EVE in any way conceivable. CCP Iceland is still pushing EVE Online and they have delegated the DUST 514 to their Shangai office. It just means more people, more stuff, more money, more money to put into EVE Online and make it better.

I can dual-box EVE clients at maximum graphic settings with no problems.

Or at least I could, until CCP decided to go all Crysis 2 with Incarna and make the graphics ******edly impossible to load even with reduced settings.

Also, Dust is a PS3 game. I don't see how my computer's speed would affect me playing it. Just the fact that I don't actually have a PS3.

Duality and Singularity have Captains' Quarters. Rolling Eyes Some of us, you know, read about upcoming patches and check things out beforehand.

It's a bad sign when an expansion's main feature is that nobody's computer can handle it.

i feel really sorry for the people whose reality makes incarna "really difficult to load".

and this just isn't a troll. i used to have a sub par PC and now i don't. so i DO feel your pain.

however, and i know this isn't popular, CCP will eventually fix it so everyone will be happy(er). you can't blame them for tapping into the practically FREE group of hundreds of thousands of beta testers...

you KNOW you'd do the same damn thing if you were in their shoes.

consider how long incarna has been in development. they told us that all we would need is SM 3.0 video cards (5 year old tech). It is 2011. even if you do not possess rudimentary knowledge of computers, Id bet you 50 mill isk that you are well aware that technology will continue to advance and evolve.

You and whoever else have had literally YEARS to prepare.

Sounds like you just have a bad computer. Mine is going on two years old and I can run anything, including the current testing of EVE Incarna, on max settings with good-high fps. (good = 40, high = 60+)

I put your posts into Google Translate and this came out:

Bs, the last 4 expansions have all been focused on spaceships.

alsi I'm 78% sure we would of had walking in station 1.5 years ago. There was a dev blog saying that winter of 2009 eve was going to become sm3 only. There was new effects and backgrounds that year at fanfest.

Then the playerbase had a ****fist, and get all mad at ccp. So suddenly ccp desiccated to give players another 2 years.

Now 2 years later we just happen to be getting new effect? new backgrounds? walking in stations?

I think they just pushed it back 2 years due to computers not being good enough to run it yet.

Meh PI isn't what I'd call a nice and shiney spaceship thing.

right becuase that's all that's ahppen in the past 2 years.

why does everyone say they haven't worked on eve for 2 years, when they also say that apocrypha was the best expansion to date? that was TWO YEARS AGO.

also yeah the PI expansion was insulting. no argument there.
