This topic is Simultaneously new AND exciting.

While I do agree a PC version makes more player-base sense, Dust is CCP's attempt at penetrating the console market specifically. If it weren't for Microsoft being so unopen to the idea of having games connect across different platforms (the exception being FF11 if I recall) then I'm sure it would have been on there too but as it stands, it makes more sense to just focus on a PS3 release.

Don't like it? Well then i'm sorry for you but life isn't all roses. Either suck it up and save up for a PS3 if you think you'll enjoy DUST and if not? Well, then you'll just have to miss out. That is an unfortunate but still incredibly valid option here.

It's amazing to see how many big, tough EVE players, who daily fly in a dark, unforgiving world are getting frustrated and upset because they don't think this is 'fair' heh.

Giving them the middle finger right back as a 360 owner, this was declared a multi-plat title to begin with, if I new it was a PS3 exclusive from the get go I wouldn't have been following this title so closely. I'm very disappointed borderline mad, so before anyone asks umad; I answer with yes, yes I am.

You are also incorrect. The platform or platforms DUST would be release on were never officially announced. There has been much player generated speculation, including entries on the EVE Wiki. Big difference.

According to me who was at the fanfest when it was announced and demoed, and when the question was asked and answered with a clear "it hasn't been decided yet", those other users are wrong.

Pic taken from vid. 360 WAS TALKED ABOUT AT 08 FANFEST. Don't care what else you have to say either honestly so don't even bother replying because I won't read. Elitest scumbag. Just because you post on eve forums a lot doesn't mean you're better than anyone else. You are not relevant don't kid yourself. I only say this to you because you think you are.

Why the hate on CCP when it was control freaks at MicroSoft that gave them the finger and told them to **** off?

DUST514 wouldn't be much of a game if it can't be connected to TQ and other platforms.

Yes? And? The fact remains: when they presented Dust to the public a year later, they explicitly said that they couldn't announce the final platform(s) yet, aside from excluding PC.

Yes, in 2008, they had begun developing Dust (a tiny "mystery snippet" was even shown as part of Nathan's totalhelldeath dream expansion speech), and were probably already negotiating with the platform makers… but that still doesn't change the fact that, until today, no official announcement was made about exactly which platforms it would be released on.

Btw… did you notice those other things in the picture that haven't happened? No mobile-client NeoCom. No EVELite messaging client…

Ehm? Yes? What does any of that have to do with anything? I'm elitist because I provide proof that they didn't announce the platforms as a counter to the hearsay that they did? Riiight… Rolling Eyes

Hey!

I even save bees and wasps that have found their way into my home rather than swat them — I'm that nice a person. Cooking frogs… bleach! Crying or Very sad

Dont worry, they will expand to 360 as soon as they find enough 360 skilled programmers stupid enough to put up ccp´s lack of quality development as we have seen in eve. Most basic bugs that little testing wouldhave discovered and removed from release gets throw.

Wait... forget about it is better answer :P

Well I know my brother will be ****ed, he bought an XBox for basically the sole reason of playing Dust.

For myself, I may save up for a PS3. Seems like they have a better game line up as Halolz and Call of Generic don't interest me much.

Dam guy, you write as if you work at CCP and were responsible for the decision - WTF? Get a life, it's valid to complain that the stupid FPS isn't available on PC, & no amount of weak trolling from you will make anyone think otherwise.
Every other FPS ever made has been available on PC (with very few exceptions) why would a company who's flagship game is PC only overlook us?
Just seems rather pathetic, almost as pathetic as the douchebags defending such a decision here Rolling Eyes

You don't know that TBH. The requirements for both companies are quite similar in many ways. I know, I've had to read them.
