if its states that its because the UE wont run on the xbox, they clearly havnt seen gears 3 in action i give it a 2 month head start over the xbox anyways, way more people so far seem to have wanted this for the 360 from what the forums are showing |

It's because MS request devs to pay a certain fee for EVERY update (bug-fixes aside) of software on xbox, while sony gives devs enough freedom to update and expand their product as much as they want. Gabe Newell said it around a year ago, and I guess that's the main reason Valve didn't paid much attention on xbox version of Orange Box after initial release. And I can totally understand why. Sometime EXCLUSIVES mean that the other Company didn't want/accept the game on there system.
It might not have been CCP choice, If Microsoft said no about adapting it to there system, then they turn around and call it an exclusive. No game company wants an exclusive game. They loose half there selling base. The also lose those ppl that haven't been exposed to eve. |

Lipton Ice Tea for me! I don't get the fanboy "oh no look at my tears" threads. So you got an XBOX at home, congrats! Microsoft lost to Sony over the blue ray and now Sony got the EVE as well. The reasons for the choice of PS3 must have been generally good ones since CCP doesn't care about what console you yourself have at home. What they do care about is a good business model and revenue stream. I for one am buying a PS3 but not only to play EVE. I have an XBOX360 in a closet at home doing nothing cause it's a bigger milkcow then AURUM will ever be. So Get a grip, get your wallet, and pay for your privileges. HTFU |

I think you need to learn reading comprehension mate. As people have stated time and time and time again, including CCP Spitfire, the reason its not on XBOX is because microshaft are greedy bastards who only allow developers one free upgrade per year. After that the companies have to pay to upgrade their own games. This is counter to CCP's long standing ethos that upgrades and expansions are delivered at no extra cost. Perhaps if you and the other morons like you took your heads out of your rectal cavities for 5 seconds, you would understand that by now, instead of filling the forums with your moronic, uneducated, brain dead threads and posts. |

While I can understand the issues of deploying and managing patches on consoles, it doesnt explain why we will not be seeing a pc based product.
As for the ps3 vs xbox.... the ps3 graphics is leaps and bounds over xbox, you often cant tell because most games that are on both platforms were made for the xbox and then ported over.
The xboxes DVD size is probably a letdown too. |

Doesn't fit with eve online in anything other than tenuously and to not be able to play it on pc just removes it even further.
Just don't see it been anything other than a sideline and even if it was on pc doubt I'd bother.... |

Imho it is matter of time before we will get Dust514 on PCs.
Imho Sony's PS is good advertisement campaign after new players... in Japan and Korea.
Imho Xbox decided about future of Dust514 for everyone involved.
CCP was logical. Microsoft was emotional.

Why? Sony has demonstrated itself to be dangerously inept towards it's customer's information. That alone is enough to boycott the PS3.
