When I see a thousand people stand up to fight together to defend territory, as they did last night, and then stand down because there’s no hope of success… There something wrong.

That is not what CCP intended.

Because nothing is being done about it leads me to believe CCP is somehow involved.

Perhaps CCP is a client of the mafia that will apparently own all of EVE, before turning on themselves.

EVE is a Monster and will self destruct, taking down the people who love the brilliance of EVE as it was, with it.

I hope the RMT Russians strangle 0.0 because the RMT trade is what has broken this game. The more RMT ends up being the deciding factor in PvP the more people will realize just how broken this game is and force CCP to address this issue or else risk losing tons of accounts from legit of players.

I believe they call it strategic withdrawl... unless you had a fleet that looked like this:

Your mafia conspiracy lunacy is make you sound like a crack pot.

Generally speaking, thousands of people standing up to defend against thousands of attackers does not guarentee success.. and if those defenders are surprised and lack intel the deck is stacked against them. I can't see blaming CCP is going to help your position.

Regroup, come up with a plan, or die and disband. Those are the option given in Eve over and over.

The NC had control over most of the north for a very long time, with plenty of Technetium moons which brought in huge streams of ISK which could have bought HUNDREDS of supercap ships to assist in the defense just from the income in the past half year, not to speak of previously available supercaps. Where were those hundreds of possible supercaps for the defense team, might I ask ?

Gee, let's throw accusations of botting, RMT and frak knows what else ruining the game, doom and gloom and end of the world and all that jazz, that's so much more believable, and far less verifiable, isn't it ?
I mean, we couldn't possibly entertain the notion that some groups of people might simply manage better than others, could we ?
Wait, wasn't the big scandal a few months ago that the NC is all so powerful and that they got dev assistance back when tech was poised to become so valuable ? And that nobody could ever possibly dethrone them, and that the game would be forever ruined because of that ?
My, how short our memories must be... and how convenient that is sometimes...
Why, yes, of course if big alliance X has failed, it must have been sabotage ! No, wait, they cheated before and now they can't anymore! No, the enemy is now cheating ! No, the enemy was helped by devs ! Pfft, tinfoilhattery, it was all a single massive botnet controlled by a single person and they got bored ! Nobody in power could ever lose it otherwise, amirite ?

No. That is not the case. Just because a large portion of a defending alliance/coalition decided to throw down their weapons in the face of total annihilation it doesn't mean that CCP has failed. It means that the retreating alliance and its leadership has failed. They either didn't have enough people to back them up or they somehow suffered a mismanagement.

If you are right, then I guess CCP failed us over and over again as alliances like Band of Brothers and Goonswarm rose and fell (as it was expected anyways).

LOL, The NC tears are threatening to drown us all!!!!

Noob, NC had more than enough Supers to match this fleet, they simply didn't have the motivated pilots, or the balls.

the people that made you stand down last night did not illegally acquire their supers, we bought them from the NC. you are just another NC number on the wall who thinks he knows what he is talking about when it comes to this game.

The Russians bot and RMT this isn't a secret unless you're a complete noob to eve and its politics.

Of course the Russians aren't the only ones who bot and in fact many alliances (including the NC) have allowed botting to go on because in the end ISK/RMT talks and everything else walks. Hence this is why EVE is broken and why we've seen the huge proliferation of super cap blobs and huge formation of expensive ships being fielded by guys like PL who take isk from these botting empires.

Once the NC loses their holding I'd suggest those persons in the NC who hate botting that they do themselves a big favor and not be tied down to holding space for a long time and instead commit themselves to basically grief'ing the botter empires to no end. That is probably the best course of action short of simply canceling their accounts.

Right, because botting is the only way to make any decent amounts of ISK, and an alliance that uses no bots on an alliance-wide funding scale could ever compete, and CCP neeeever removes any bots whatsoever, and without bots we so toootally wouldn't have supercap blobs at all... amirite ?
Also, if alliance X both bots and RMTs, wouldn't that mean they are leftover with LESS ISK than if they simply botted ? And wouldn't that mean they're probably actually weaker than without RMT ? Or do you mean they're massively BUYING ISK at below PLEX-rates from other botters ?
And if botting is so widespread in pretty much any alliance...

You know what, screw it.
Tinfoilhat away.

Why in God's name are all these "OMG RMT BOT IN ALLIANCE OH NOES WE'RE DOOMED EVE IS DOOMED EVERYTHING IS DOOMED" popping up?

I mean, it ain't weird with them appearing now and then but this is just plain annoying... look at the damn Bot War thread will ya? If anything, that thread is far more info-giving and non-lunatic like these threads.

So far... this public secret... there's not much proof given. Sure tidbits appear here and there that X Alliance does oh noes, or that Y CEO has done this and that but... never much concrete stuff.

All I see are people saying "OMG RMT BOTTING OH NOES" and not much else. Also, sounds like A) Your fleet was ****ed from the beginning, B) Your fleet sucks, C) The enemy fleet is good, D) Your leadership sucks.

Or y'know... maybe they're cutting losses because this particular fight wasn't winnable. Leeroy Jenkins fights are only fun if you're not gonna lose much (or is just a relaxed fella who doesn't mind losing).

EDIT: My post looks really bad >,>

I'm sorry, I'm confused.

Are the DRF RMT selling ISK?
Or using it to fund a gigantic supercap fleet?
Or using it to buy PL's services?

It's not like they have any Tech moons...... where's all of NC's isk?

That's because the NC is frantically trying to find a suitable scapegoat to preserve their own self worth.

You see, the NC aren't very good at this game.

Unfortunately for them, their argument doesn't hold much weight as they have more members and more ISK than any other group in-game. The best space, the majority of the tech moons, and no successful invasions for years (until recently); but quite simply, bad, at, eve.

People win, people lose, what does it matter, people will just reform somewhere else.
Sov warfare is just one hypocrite bad mouthing another in the hope to get their drama fix.
You don't even need a subscription to eve for that, just go read kugu.com

If your facing 50+ supers, it won't matter how many numbers and what ships you bring, your going to lose unless you can closely match the same amount of supers.

What is wrong with this game?

When facing supers in a big war, anyone flying anything else than supers might as well go to battle in their pod.
Doesn't matter how many people you got, every single pilot is worthless if you can't match supers.

Best solution i can think of, give them just slightly more hp than a carrier or something.

You all fail to see the point.

One of the PL titan pilots cleared it up in local, at that battle.
"LOL, We lost aor Sov and look how it turned out for us"?

Super Caps arent designed to hold Sov, they are designed to take it. Sov is about an immunity beacon that can be alpha blitzed and there isnt jack **** you can do about it. Pitting Super cap fleet to super cap fleet doesnt save your space, it crashes the node.

Untill they fix tech moons, Sov will be Trading spaces online.

Was EVE not intended to be a cold/dark/harsh environment, were your actions can lead to huge success or crushing failure and defeat?

If it was not possible through bad decisions to lead yourself and others into an un-winnable situation then I think EVE would be a lot worse off.

Working as intended IMO.

As Akita mentioned ..... with the HUGE ammount of ISK NC produced in last 3 years when they did almost never fought a war, they should have hundreds and hundreds of supers, 2 on every pilot. Its just you dont have balls to use them, so live with it, you failed ...

Kinda, sorta.
Of course if you think 200 nomadic PL super caps are destructive, wait untill the 1000 nomadic NC super caps burn New Eden. Then the OMFG who knows how many nomadic Goon and -A- super fleets burn new Eden.

Lots of blow stuff up in EVE. Working as intended.

With the introduction of capitals and supercapitals CCP increased the potential of the ISK and individual over the strength of numbers. It's a bit the same as releasing tier 50 (or whatever) gear in other games, which effectually has the consequence that the few who have it can domninate many others.

So yes, indirectly CCP did want this to happen by enabling it.

Yeah I have a good laugh every time I see an obvious NC member complaining about being blobbed and too many caps. Didn't hear you crying a year ago did we? You were the ones saying come up with the strategies and its part of the game etc etc. What goes around comes around, its part of the game, guess you better come up with some strategies eh?

EvE is a harsh, vicious and unforgiving game which does not cater for the people that cannot adapt to changes or succumb to getting a knee to face whilst bending over and getting spanked... If you expect candy canes and fluffy chocolate bears then get out!

Also, NC detected.
