So...

I'm not one to usually complain about Eve by making topics on the forums more so complaining in topics already posted but today I'm a little cheesed off.

In my case I ensured Eve was up to date on my laptop before departing to a foreign country (China) so that I wouldn't have problems doing updates. Unfortunately for me today Incursion 1.6 has been released... 546mb of updates yay... for me I have been downloading since 7am this morning it is now 1am the next day and I am only 260mb into this update with no end in sight yet.

So I would normally settle for EveGate not having much functionality apart from reading poorly coded messages with ~#[email protected]~~# all over the place due to colours and hyperlinks but today for the millionth time it has hit me why the hell doesn't Eve gate have a skill queue.

I'm a paying customer, I player frequently but the one time CCP decide to release an update to only add an extra 10mb to my Eve Client folder after downloading 546mb why do I have to be shafted?

Seriously, why is Eve Gate still lacking skill queue modifications?

I am raging and no free stuffs won't be given.

They are still working on code to let the web browser real time interact withthe game clinet.

so one day we'll get to manage buy and sell orders, voice chat, change skills, even build and save fits.

but for now it's just a ... web mail clinet? useless.

And while we are at it. Shouldn't the new forums be fixed by now?

These are the new forums aren't they?

I remember they were something similar to this then they went to a poorly designed and faecesbook oriented "Like" posting system to an improved system that we know and love today.

eww these forums are not new or advanced. they are terrible and the number one requested thing in the past 6 years has been to replace them and fix the search.

I can only assume that was sarcasm as everyone honest forum goer should know Chribba beat CCP to the search function before time began.

yeah because the best way to fix something is to make your playerbase do it Rolling Eyes

no **** eve-search. lol.

Also despite peoples love of eve-search, and hate of the new forums. eve-search uses the large margins common and any readable forum. Why would people like you whine that the forums should stretch across the whole screen while chirbba himself has it the way the new forums worked.

Unfortunately that appears to be the case...

Can someone quickly explain what this "Aurum" is so I can go about raging over it? I've missed out some recent news as I haven't bothered with the forums.

Except for those of us that have a lot of managing to do where we don't have access to an EVE client. EVE Gate is nice for what it is. I'll be happy with and want more features, but I find use out of what I have already.

I think most people wanted a working search that didn't suck ass along with some other enhancements that many if not all of forum/bulletin boards have had for the better part of a decade.

More or less, it's a PLEX sink.

Right now when you buy a plex your choices are AURUM for useless clothing, or 300-400 million isk.

Once the price drops too much it becomes more profitable to get AURUM, which is for buying and selling vanity items, like ship paint jobs, ship logos, walking in stations vanity items. You can buy about 300 items for one plex, so the idea is to buy with AURUM and resell on the normal market for isk.

Thus when plexs gets to low people trade it for AURUM because it has a higher value to isk ratio.

When plex gets to high people will trade more plex for isk.

So yeah, Plex sink. Which is why people are worried about it.
