I just started doing missions in high sec. I had grinded to 8.0 with CN before to get access to jump clones (yes, I know there's jump clone corps. Didn't learn about them till after I did the grind Sad ).

I did some calculations with CN's LP store. Basically right now the best isk/lp from CN is around 1100. I think the main issue is the insane cost of Federation Navy Fleet Colonel Insignia I at the moment. There are a few items that convert up to 1800 isk/lp, but so little are being sold that they are basically not going to work.

I won't say what the item is necessarily, but it's not implants, ships, ammo. People are saying 5 run BPC's are the way to go for LP conversion, but they're definitely not talking about CN. CN 5 run BPC's are worthless, manufactured or sold.

So I started looking into other Caldari Corps. Basically there's two LP stores in all the Caldari NPC corps. One is exactly like CN, and the other is what corps like Ishukone or Lai Dai offers.

Most of the items on the other LP store convert to same or worse isk/lp ratios, except for one. The final conversion comes out to about 1700 isk/lp and a lot of it gets sold.

Now here's my question. So far, what's the best isk/lp that people are getting from CN? Am I close with my 1100 isk/lp? It's based on a spreadsheet I did and doesn't include implants, ammo, and ships.

And also, is it worth it for me to switch my mission grinding to the other corp. Yes I will make 1700 isk/lp instead of 1100 isk/lp, but I have to grind all the way up to lvl 4's again. I suppose there is the added benefit of access to datacore farming as well. But uuughhh the grind is sooo.... uuughhhh ugh

My missioning style is this: 600 dps with a dedicated salv noctis alt. I blitz the fast missions, and I salv the ones with good loot (Gone Berserk, etc)

If your faction standing is above +5, you will be able to access all the level 4 agents in that faction.

Do you have the Connections skill? If not, training it to level 4 will help a little.

There's actually three, one for combat corps and then two for the others, (maybe ones for mining corps and the other for manufacturing idk)

the two others currently can convert at 1500-1800 and about 2500-3500 depending on current prices of tags/ contract prices for the items and weather or not you want to sell them NAOW or are willing to put up 2 week wts contracts and get your isk some time in the future.

All of these lps can be farmed from agents in 0.5 sec for maximum profits \o/

*edit*
also get your faction standing higher asap, once its nice and high you can turn down as many missions as you like with the odd storyline mission to rep the tiny loss in faction standings every now and then, you just have to keep your corp/agent standing above -2.0

haha that's true. I completely didn't look into the industrial corps. the 2 types of lp stores I looked into and did #'s for is combat (CN, police, etc) and sciency (ishukone, lai dai, etc). I didn't even look at the industrial corps. Do they give combat missions? Shocked

I'm more interested in selling fast then getting insane isk/lp. So 2000 isk/lp is more than good enough. Also one of the other LP stores (the one I did #'s for already, I'm getting around 1700 isk/lp at the end. is that high enough? Everything else seems to overlap with the military lp store.)

which sorta leads me to my other issue... new to grinding missions i apologize. I have something like 450k LP with CN right now... Confused

If I get all one item (the one that goes for 1100 isk/lp), I'll easily flood the market even more than it already is.

What do? I really didn't think CN was as worthless as it is now. Wow! I can't find a single item that's more than 1100 isk/lp and still being bought. Unless I'm missing something.

Take what you can get for cn lp store items if 1100 is the best you can get then go for it, last time I had any (from running lvl5s) I think I ended up cashing them in at about 850 for a quick turn around, iirc some 3% hardwirings were fairly decent, but dont forget to check volume! Fotunatly a vast number of people blindly run missions for combat corps without ever checking if it's really worth it, most of them dont even bother checking that they're working for the most effective agent in said corp.

Switch to Lai Dai and talk to Imiarr Timshae about getting extra income from boosting someone else's standings.

also just a random question. are t2 ammo worth using for missioning?

the damage difference is something like 200 dps. with a tp it's extra explosion radius isn't really a problem.

in my head they are. Costs 10 times more for ammo, but you do missions about 1.3 times faster.

but if you're splitting your mission rewards with the client, doesn't that more or less even out?

200dps is a VAST amount, as long as you can get the damage onto the target, then it's worth it, I pretty much perma use fury ammo in my tengu (2xT2rigors) even VS frigs (unless there's a whole pile of them).

If you're working for that corp anyway, then you're making a small gain, however if you'd be spending the time working for one of the 3k/lp corps then you'd be making a huge loss.

yea that makes sense. i still have to find this 3k isk/lp item. the 2 non military npc lp store variations only have 1 or 2 items that are different... hmmm...
