I clicked the link, but didn't bother to listen to more then the first powerpoint page. The reason is that the first rule when doing a presentation to someone is to NOT read aloud what it says on the presentation. People can read for themselves. They are more interested in what they CAN'T read, and thus your focus (when doing a presentation) is to say anything at all except what it is written. :) Sorry if i seem mean, but this was the first thing i learned a couple of years ago when i started doing this kind of stuff.

So what business does a miner have in the LP store?

A balance sheet and an income statement might be more compelling than a presentation, especially if there were some reason to believe the numbers were accurate.

Who is the majority shareholder?

Hi Das Miner,

I agree that there is some information missing from this that I would like to see, and I expect others would as well. Also it's possibly better to not rely on having people try to search information previously posted but to resummarise.

So you have had an IPO before and you are looking to expand. This is natural and can have good business reasons (or possibly bad ones if you are going too fast!). However because it is an expansion there are some slightly trickier to work out questions.

Firstly what is your current NAV. Please give a breakdown of what sort of assets are owned by the corp and what sort are not. For example do you miners buy their own ships, or are these corp purchased, and if corp purchased are they on loan to miners or kept for themselves?

Secondly what is your current amount of shares in the corp. By knowing this and yur NAV investors will be able to work out whether 52k is a good starting point for your share price.

Next could you please state what dividends have already been paid. From 1&2 we will know the intrinsic share price, but from 3 we can work out what sort of ROI we can get, and thus make our own assessment of the worthiness of the shares.

Finally what sort of business plan do you have that requires this money? Your "how will we spend your miney" page had only 1 line I saw about what you plan to do with it. I assume several things but I don't know.

I'm interested in investing, but I'd like to know more about what you offer before I decide. Thanks!

As the FNG here, I was wondering if there is a good tool for a quick NAV calculation, something better than adding by hand and individually crosschecking with the market. Any suggestions? Does EMMA do this?

Decided to give it a go, and decided to get 500 shares.
I say we give this man a chance, and see what the future brings.

Pretty short change to help get a new corp off the ground. We'll call it a roll of the dice.

13th May - Das Miner Created
14th May - Corp Founded
18th May - First IPO for 1 billion isk
23rd May - 2nd IPO for an additional 2.08 billion isk

1. You sold off 91% of your shares [20,000 out of a claimed 22,000] in your first offering. Did your shareholders vote and agree to create the additional 40,000 shares?

2. In your presentation, you ask for a 550,000 isk loan - I assume this means 550 million isk? If so, this means you are trying to grab 3.58 billion isk - correct?

3. Please post up your previous "experienced character" so we know who your main is/was and his scam history if any.

4. Why does your presentation instruct people not to reserve shares on the forum, but only to contact you to acquire them?

5. Will you hand over your full api keys for an audit?

Yes we had a vote of all the shareholders first.

I did mean 500,000 isk loan the corp has no credit for such deals.

I will eventually submit to a full audit once the corporation progresses to a certain point.

Players have only bought shares so far, first sell opportunity will be this week.

Ollie - yes Emma will do this, just make sure you are a director so you can get the corp assets as well. Anything held by players (corp owned ships on loan) won't appear and will have to be added by you manually. Take the results with a pinch of salt - if the market is doing silly things then some of your items will go crazy in price. Oh and I've not checked recently but EMMA used to count bpcs as bpos.

If you have just had a 1bn ISK IPO, how can you not have 500k yourselves? Where has this money gone? Can't you just sell some minerals?

That's quite a "NO!" - embedded into a "maybe ... if" type of construct - don't you think?

Forget about the loan. Don't need it. Have plenty of funds.

No, I think everyone here that isn't interested in investing can see them - Liberty's just being cool about the whole deal.

But it wasn't your first. I find a bit hard to swallow that a few days after starting EVE you not only setup a Corp, and do an IPO as well.

Second, either you need the isk or don't. This doesn't change overnight.

Guys I have plenty of investors and liquid cash right now. The corporation is producing more ore, goods, has more members and cash than it ever has. Things are going really well. Either invest or don't. We've got nothing to prove right now.

We've bad a few changes to the corporation structure. The members were concerned they were not getting enough of a voice compared to the investors. So here is the State of the Corp for Thunder Bolt Industries.

There is no need to be so grumpy :) Answer the basic questions asked, like "what are you doing with 492m of LP stuff", "who is your previous character" "what is your business plan"

It should be noted that YOU came here asking for money, so you do have something to prove. Dodging questions and having an attitude is not helpful.

By the way, instead of mining in frigs, you could have made a LOT more isk by running the L4s available to you, but thats neither here nor there, and as you say, "Things are going well" and I suspect you have no need for advice Rolling Eyes

I don't think anyone is asking you to prove the impossible - just a few basic questions which you won't answer and which are very relevant to this offering. Why is it such a big deal?

Sorry, woke up cranky. My 2nd and 3rd in command called me out on some things. View updated blog link.

I plan to use your money for trade, and to spend money on my corporation. And add profits from our trade, ore, material, and goods sales to your share values.

I understand that a lot of people are skeptical. Alot of big deals in Eve fall apart. Lets face it, pretty much all the news worthy deals in Eve fell apart. All I can say is I am different, and if you have doubts just keep an eye on the corporation. We will be around for a while.

The fast growth of the corporation is due to the acceptional players who have helped me build it up from nothing over the past 10 days, and the surprising number of investors who have decided to give us a shot.

So WHY are you dropping 500m on the LP store, and what was the 500,000 isk loan for? Saying "I AM DIFFERENT, TRUST ME" does not make you trustworthy.

I'm not dealing with the LP store. I bought cheap Nexus Chips on the open market. I switch regions, and sell them at a profit in areas that dont have a supply. Same with any other goods. The mining and manufacturing is a separate source of income.
