Over the years I have become increasingly bemused by what CCPs vision for eve is. Where is eve heading? Personally it seems for large 0.0 warfare with low and high sec just peripheries to the game.
But it just seems the development of eve is pretty adhoc, I would really like to get an official response on where CCP sees eve in 5 years time, so I can determine whether to keep wasting my money or not. |

As it is, 0.0 is boring and stale. Anything CCP does to shake things up can only help at this point. |

Yeah, that's what EVE is starting to look like. A coagulation of minigames, roughly stitched together under the one server premise, only skin deep, giving a semblance of depth but lacking any meat or bones. Going wide, going far, but instead of the Deep Sea of Awesome you have a puddle of ****. |

All games are functionally minigames spliced together. Yo've got the story, the the combat, the character stuff, the equipment. Plus lock picking games. Each of which is a separate experience coexisting with the others for the purpose of providing the player with a multitude of ways to while away their time in a single box.
The cohesive experience of games like Super Mario Bros is a figment of history.
CCP's baby is interesting for the connective tissue that links the disparate elements. They do not merely coexist, or affect the experience of a single player. Instead, the actions of the players of the industrial subgame directly impacts the subgame players of pvp and trading, and vv.
That's nifty. CCP's actions over the last few expansions have been directed at deepening that connective tissue. So I'd guess that'd be their vision: a world where every action by one player has a meaningful impact on other players. |

lol Got problems with customer complaints about dev resources being allocated to other games for years at a time? Answer: Release a trailer saying the product you're neglecting has a future. That trailer is the biggest indictment on the sad state of CCP. |

That video has been proven to be fake. That is not officially sanctioned by CCP. Some dufus threw that one together and unlawfully slapped CCP's logo on it. Litigation is pending. No, CCP does not have a vision let alone a FUTURE vision. Whatever the CSM complains about in regards to null sec is the next logical step taken. Just FYI. No word 'til World of Darkness comes out. Or as I like to call it — World of Not Live Action Role Play Anymore. Lols! |

Every once in a while, and more often than I'd like to admit, I see a thread headline that is simply boneheaded. "Does CCP have a vision for eve?" is one of them. I mean, how stupid can you possibly be? CCP has a vision by definition. Just because you disagree with it doesn't make it cease to exist. |

lol I guess that's why you just linked the official CCP youtube channel. edit: And yes.... It is super funny that CCP think a trailer saying "future" is more productive then actually working on EveOnline in preference to WoD and DUST. |

CCP vision for EVE is milking the cow as much as it's physically possible and pray that enough people started to play World of Twilight by the time EVE dies so they survive as a company. |

Does CCP have a vision for the future of eve?
No. No they don't. Not at all. The quality of the product has very little to do with the share price. |

I have seen a corporation have too much vision. It doesn't exist anymore. That I used to be a shareholder is another unfortunate story. |

Margin trading can be a pain in the lower back sometimes so CCP should have an option for us level 5 margin trading haxxorz. Right click on a buy order and select to pay off the amount you'll owe when it gets filled anyway so you don't accidently all the ravens you were trying to buy |

I have a conspiracy theory: I think CCP in some crazy half baked scheme actually thought it might be a good idea to have more than one product and turn a profit..... i know, it's far fetched, boardering on the ridiculous that a company might actually want to grow and earn more money. I mean, how dare they want to make a profit! I'm in agreement with alot of people on the forums that I would prefer them to concentrate all their efforts on EVE and fulfilling the whims of every single one of their subscribers until they go broke. Please, CCP give up any pretentions you have to operate like a real company and face facts, the forum is all powerful and you should drop all development on your new projects and spend your days making every would be Darth Vader happy. |
